    Figuring out suppressor thread

Hi all, I bought a Howa 1500 308 over the weekend and its threaded for a suppressor but I don't know which sort. The guy bought it from Palmerston North Hunting and Fishing about 6 months ago . Any ideas ho tow figure out what would fit?

For a Metric thread measure the outside diameter of the threads.

Then measure the pitch from top of one thread to top of next.

i.e. a M8x1.0 thread will be 8mm in diameter and 1mm from one thread top to the next.

Or maybe it's an Imperial thread then measure the outside diameter and count threads per inch.

i.e. .3/8 x16unc = 3/8ths of and inch in diameter by 16 threads per inch.

    THREAD IDENTIFICATION CHART

or take it into an engineering shop and ask them to identify it for you.

    Cheers
    Pete

Thanks for your help guys, I don't know much about sonics suppressors but the scope that combo comes with is pretty average . I was hoping to fit a Gunworks, I might go with the engineering shop option to be 100% sure.

No. I was just browsing through the catalog while checking the forum. And thought it may match up.
