Filling hole in alloy trigger guard

Hi,can anyone recommend how to fill a unsightly hole in Rem 7 trigger guard where a screw was drilled out,or have a guard for sale,thanks :)

Have it welded or if you’re going to paint it just fill the hole with JB Weld.

I am yet to see anyone successfully solder aluminum....got a link?

Even at soldering temperature you will destroy the temper of 60 and 70 series alloys.

Selleys 'Knead It" Steel putty $22 @ Bunnings.
Once set can be painted. Good stuff to have on the workshop desk.

Did an emergency repair on a split hot water cylinder (low pressure) after the 2010 Canterbury quake using this ^^ - lasted several years and was still going strong when I replaced the cylinder. Devcon would be good for what you are doing as well and you can get it in small $20-ish packs.
