I see there seems to be a couple of different fiocchi 55gr 223 loads. At least by price.
What's the difference?
Starting to window shop for future proper shopping. Also winchester 64gr PowerPoint seem to get good write ups

The 55g SP worked well on goats and bunnies in the tikka and the Howa I had prior. I couldn't get better than 1.5moa with the 64g power point in my tikka, it shoots 73g well under 1/2 moa.
I have a 1:8 twist howa mini and it pokes the fiocchi 55gn sp into tiny little groups, I'm happy with that even though the 1:8 twist will stabilize heavier pills.
I'm glad I bought shit tonnes before the ammo shortages cause they've doubled in price now
The fiocchi 55gn sp probably aren't as fast as the equivalent hornandy, federal or winchester loads but have found it to be very consistent @2886fps out of my stock barrel.
I have zero interest in loading for 223 currently but may do 1 day if I find myself using it more often than I currently do.
Belmont 55gn sp was also great but I think they only sell to comercial shooters now

Cheers. The incoming project is most likely a 1-12 so 55ish maybe up to short mid 60s will probably be the go
I doubt the 1-12 will stabilize the 64g. 55g will be the go.
The Fiocchi 55gr SP is a precise little load. Our team runs Zastava, Savage, Howa and Tikka 223s and this ammo shoots well under 1" at 100m in all of them. Very good for factory ammo. 0.4-0.8" groups in my Howa 1500.
A mate bought couple of thousand rounds when it was about $35 for 50 blk, but now its $89 or so. However if you can go in with someone else you can still buy 1000 for $1199 = $60ish for 50 last time I checked at GC.
@300wsm for life From some research, the 64gr PowerPoint is a shorter design and meant to work fine in 1-12. @mudgripz these are the two different loads I was referring to. One must be a premium bullet perhaps
One is 90 bucks for 20 the other 54 for 50.
Both supposedly 55gr soft points

I'm currently running Winchester 55g SP which my Weatherby vanguard quite likes.
Smiffy - your bottom link is the Fiocchi SP 55gr we use. Its now $89.99 for 50, or 1000 for $1199 = $60 for 50.
Doh. For some reason I thought it was for 20. Fecking eedjit. Looking at too many
