First few shots with my 260ai

Managed to get out this arvo to finally put some rounds through my 260ai and my expectations were well exceeded!!!.The shots were all just for myself to get used to using my new rifle, scope and shooter app As ive never had to calculate my shots using a ballistic calculator and dail my own scope. So the conditions were great for a newby like myself to this technology........no wind! I shot of a bipod with a rear rest(pack) at two known distances 300 and 400 yrds.I put three shot's into the twelve inch plate at 300yrds and also wound the dail the other way and pumped a shot into the dirt in between to see how well the scope came back..........dead on.Recoils less than firing 95gn projectile's out of my old 243!!!,so after those three shots i went back to 400yrds and put one shot into a 6 inch plate fisrt shot from that distance. Conclusion so far..............ive only put five shots thru this rifle and its amazing combined with the vx3 cds and shooter app its gonna be deadly once im totaly use to it!!!. ive videoed my 6 inch plate shot and for your veiwing pleasure..........my MUM(60 yrs young) decided it looked fun so i lined her up at the 12inch plate from 400!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.The vid qual is poor dont know why, appoligies.

Yip, I had a couple of missed wallaby at 500yrds two weekends ago, blamed the rifle/scope,everything but me, finally got to check my zero this afternoon, hmm... nothing wrong with it
spotted both shots, high and right, had to be me.
    Damn.
It's great when it comes off though, well worth the effort,

    Well done fella
You are starting something now with the longrange shooting - its sooooo adictive and every time you go out you learn something new!!
Gongs are a great way to practice and you can see your " real " time results as in drop of shot compared to ballistic data and grouping!!
    Any pictures of the rifle??
    All the best ,
    Ray.

Ill be setting up a permenant range at my new place and will do smaller forum gong shoots so if your keen when there up and going your more than welcome. Would be great to get some clued up guys along to learn us newbies some skills.
