hi, not knowing much- had thought the 100 m example was a good benchmark.
Can't do it all the time-depends on my laziness,-mostly.
At the time could almost guarantee 25+ out of 30 into a 2litre paint tin after the first 1.
This sort of accuracy would be OK. I know I have do allow for drop of trajectory and wind-depending on my ammunition choice. And at 180m just to hit the tin if I could see it would be good.
Yes geese at 180 m I would be very lucky-something that size in body should be possible.
No use with a $2 shop quality design-or even not designed for the intended use.
Had thought no use getting something with poor precision- projectiles will have enough of influence- let alone weather and me.
Better do the legal clarification:- not my air rifle-used under direct supervision of FAL holder. Was Daystate Air-ranger PCP .22.
Can buy when have FAL.
Rabbits at about 35m max, possums same-both better closer, especially possums, and missed quite a few;- goat at 8m- needed finishing shot. Target at rest sitting at the BBQ table. Measured with chinese builders rangefinder-from bunnings apparently.
Own air rifle is Falke springer-OK without a license and good for baked bean tins at 15m.
Again- standard effective kill range at a usual 20-80 m is given my limited experience is what I'm after.
Apart from the mechanics of it= up to me to responsible for my placement.
