It’s taken me 11 years to upgrade my first bipod so I don’t think that’ll be of concern for me. I’m sure their will be further innovation that mounts on the pic rails for those who do up grade for every model . I actually drilled 2 new holes in my stock to get the bipod where I wanted it mounted it wasn’t going to fly with my current sling stud hole unfortunately, but I gave the bipod a good once over out of the box and decided yip it’s for me so no dramas I might get around to epoxy filling the sling stud hole under the rail but for now I’m calling it drainage .
