    Flasher steel targets

I am interested in some steel flasher targets like ones used in 3 gun.

Anyone know who makes them and if they can be sourced easy enough in NZ.

Mate I have no idea what they are but I reckon that if you had a couple of photos and a few measurements then a clever bloke like VC could knock you up a couple lickity split.
    Tommy likes this.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Basically a heavy bis target square or round that when hit activates a coloured plate or tin to tell you it has been hit. Normally on a pendulum type mount.
But has to be well balanced so that .223/5.56 will activate it at range.

Saves having to go forward to set LR targets etc.

I have seen them done with motion sensors and flashing lights/strobes etc

Cheaper than this one but similar concept.

look easy enough to make but I imagine there would be a bit of dicking around tuneing it to work with a 223 at long range...and then wind may become a problem?

I hear ya. That's why I am thinking a reliable light system may be easier.

I have had a pm to check some out made up north. I'm in no rush.

We have plans at the club to host more big shoots but we need to be able to provide interesting and challenging stages. The easier they are to set the quicker we can enjoy the shooting.

Our club has great facilities but only a handful interested in 3 gun.
I am trying to get more interested.

Brads had a strobe on the 2300 gong at the Toby shoot. You should bring your 223 next year

Only need them for 600 at the very most.
I would need to see one work before I bothered to ask the club to buy a few tho.
We would want at least 5
