    Flush cups

Has anyone fitted flush cups to a Sako carbon light stock?

Not a carbon light but I fitted some to my fierce fury which has a carbon fibre stock. So long as you make a cone under the outer layer of the composite skin for the epoxy to fill in and create a wedge is the main thing. I imagine the carbon light stock would be formed around a blank in the same way.

Whatever you drill the hole with, it'll need to be spinning fast to make a neat cut on the carbon fibres, as slow will just tear them & leave a ragged hole. On a mill would be best.

I have put the Spartan bipod sockets into about 5 carbon stock and as Mathias as said fast drill speed is key.

I used a drill press at 3000rpm and a sharp forstner bit which cuts a nice clean hole. Go slow and let the bit do the cutting.
