Not quite the info you're after, but one thing to make sure of is that the bolt is in separate checked in ammo. I know of someone who was told by the airline that it was ok as carry on, but they were detained at security check in and police were contacted due to having the bolt in their carry on.

Might seem obvious but despite that, I can tell this true story. The moral being that what the airline might allow, isn't necessarily allowed by avsec. Make sure you have the ok from both.
