FN .22 - Query on value (on behalf)

    Hi team,

A friend of my father's isn't renewing his license, so parting ways with a FN pump action .22. He's unsure of what to sell if for, so I offered to get an approx value on here from the combined wisdom of you lot of legends

Is anyone able to provide a fair price estimate please? These are the only photos/details I have. If it will make a massive difference, I can ask for specific details, but want to avoid difficulty if possible.

After this, if anyone is interested in it, I will ask him if I can put up a listing on here.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes looks like FN branded John Browning 'trombone' - a takedown 22 made from about 1920-1970. Pump actions not favoured much these days - don't know why - but yes $450-550 to some buyers depending on condition. Will be a collector's piece one day..

Would be worth more if it didnt have the dreaded thread on the end . Kills it for collector value , but 450-500 would be a fair estimate from me .

But I think he's asking too much in this current market.
A good job and a good wife has been the ruin of many a good hunter.

But the TM one is in way better condition , and not altered or missing parts.

Still overpriced , and been listed for a while now.

Awesome, Thank you very much to everyone who has taken the time out of their Friday to post. I'll let him know.

If there's any interest on here, let me know I'll speak to him about listing it.

Yeah I've got one, hand me down from my grandfather. Used to hunt with it as a kid. Action is super smooth. Looks like it's had a stock replacement - the original stocks had a rep for cracking at the front.

One thing to be aware of is that mag is rated at 11 shots (according to the manual, but buggered if I could get 11 in there) so it is rated as a naughty gun. It may be worth double checking with the FSA. I got mine modified to be a good gun (can only actually fit 9 rounds in it now).
