If you're interested in a finnlight and want to shop around for a good price ring Dave on 063747761(dannevirke). Don't deal with any of his minions, just him. Hes always willing to cut a deal. I just got a finnlight in 260 of him and he smashed H&F prices.

Everyone loves their Finnlights, my mate had one sold under his nose by a HnF shop, even though he gave them time and date to pick up, he offered to pay a deposit to hold it for 2-3 days.
They sold it just before he walked in the door, having driven an hour to pick it up.
They said "have a look at this though", it was a Sako 85 Black Bear in .308.
It's scary light, with a 21 1/2" medium contour fluted barrel, coated black in a soft touch stock.
They're available in S and M size actions.
.308 and .338 Fed in S action, and 30-06 and some Euro cals in the M action.
You'd be lucky to pry it from his hands now.

I've owner Kimber, nice but definitely had it's certain issues.
Finn- apart from the finish which is second to none in any factory rifle I've seen and handled the thing I appreciate mostly is the action/feeding. They are or have been totally reliable.

off topic sorry, but I rate the Weatherby MK V. I use it more than my Sako.
If you do go Sako I've some Optilocks you can have @von tempsky fan.

I've had 3 Montanas. The one thing I didn't like about the Finnlight is the stock. If you could live with it then go for one

I thought you blokes across there all hunted with T3s! Never a bad option mind you......

I have shot a kimber and a finlight but both didn't live up to the MOA guarantee.

Very nice to carry and they would still shoot good enough for hunting.

Forbes do have a rep for accuracy. I know a bloke who got a 6.5 swede and reamed it to 6.5-284, shoots very well.

How light was the Black Bear @shift14 ?

I don't think it's scary light, bit more than a finnlight.

Whatever, it went to the shoulder nicely, pointed great, and despite its looks, was a nice compact light setup with a small VX-6 mounted.
A lot to be said for a shortish, stiff, medium contoured barrel.
