    Yep - we have a 3d printer at work & that was pretty much the first thing that crossed my mind

    If you have the $$$ You can print in pretty much any metal - like the sound of 3d printed Titanium Ar ?

    I've used rapid prototypers like this with resin and sintered aluminium.

    Both can hold some very tight tollerances as can be seen here.

    If you can draw it you can print it.

    And the printers are becoming cheaper and faster.

    When my home designed gun blows my face off - i can just print myself a new face! What will they think of next ha ha?
    Somebody will figgure out how to make a cheap copy of the 3d copier USING the said copier....then how do they make money. I'm off to buy stocks in that powdery crap these things run on

    Thats the first job you do with your printer = print out all your spare parts!

    There are plenty of blogs etc about people printing their second more advanced printer on their first one
