    G7 BR2 Rangefinder

This may help with the longer shots and worthy of consideration if you are in the market for a rangefinder to 2000yrds., great price too !

Grouse River Outfitters - G7 BR2 Ballistic Rangefinder Canada

    Their blurb....
"The G7 BR2 (Ballistic Rangefinder 2000) rangefinder has achieved the most significant milestone in laser rangefinder technology since their introduction to the hunting industry. The BR2 model is the first rangefinder to feature a real time ballistic calculation that accepts your specific bullet Ballistic Coefficient and Muzzle Velocity as inputs to build a custom ballistic profile, and then calculate a real time ballistic solution.

Developments in sensor technology along with dozens of other patented technologies give the G7 BR2 eye safe ranging capabilities beyond 2000 yards. By utilizing the G7 ballistic engine, the G7 BR2 is able to utilize measurements of line of sight range, incline angle, air density (temperature and elevation), and compass heading to complete a ballistic calculation of the Shoot To range for your custom bullet drop compensating reticle or turret. “Just range it and dial it” has never been so simple or precise. Wind Compensation is a core function of all G7 products and the BR2 rangefinder is no exception with patent pending compensation technology. MOA wind correction values are calculated and easily accessed to display the correction for different wind values.

The G7 BR2 has the capability to provide a calculated firing solution out to 1400 yards and can output this solution as either an MOA, Inches, or yardage solution to be dialed on your custom turret. This provides the ultimate in accuracy and efficiency in field-use scenarios. See the "extended info" tab for more information.

Grouse River is the exclusive supplier of G7 products in Canada and can custom program your rangefinder prior to shipment with the specific details of your caliber, load, and ballistic turret. Up to 5 custom profiles can be input into the unit to be called upon by the user. Video Preview of the G7 BR2 Rangefinder - Now available in Canada Dimensions: 5.09"x4.45"x2.10"Weight: 14.3 ozFunctional Range: 2000 YardsMax Range: 2500 YardsMax Compensated Range: 1400 YardsMagnification: 7XBeam Divergence: 2x4 MradTargeting Modes: Near, Far, ContinuousDisplay: Backlight LEDBattery: CR 123Accessories: Case, Neck Strap
    - Ballistic calculations are powered by the advanced G7 ballistic engine. The precise algorithms are configured to allow ultra fast real time calculation.

    - Shoot-To range compensates the line of sight range for variations in air density and inclination angle. The output is specific to the programmed BC and MV. Shoot To range can be configured to work with BDC turrets or holdover reticles.

    - Wind Compensation is a core function of all G7 products and the BR2 rangefinder is no exception with patent pending compensation technology. MOA wind correction values are calculated and easily accessed to display the correction for different wind values.

    - Onboard sensors measure incline angle, compass heading, barometric pressure, and temperature. These sensors provide the data to the G7 ballistic engine to calculate the Shoot To range.

    - Programmable for up to five different cartridge combos. Specific inputs include: Ballistic Coefficient, Muzzle Velocity, Sight Height, Altitude, and Temperature.

    - Very simple Intuitive Display offers selectable reticles and four intensity settings for varying light conditions. The Backlight LED display is visible in both bright and low light conditions.

    - The rugged housing is Weatherproof and features a GoreTEX membrane. The tripod mounting stud is ¼-20 on the bottom of the housing.

    - The eyepiece features an adjustable diopter with a click adjustable twist-up eye cup. "

    Brads,

I have one of these little numbers myself (GR BR2 rangefinders),it is a great system and used with the GunWerks Turret, I'm yet to see anything that compares.

I have a couple of new GR-BR2 units that are for sale if you are interested.

    Cheers Rob

Rob, is the GR-BR2 the previous model to the G7-BR2 or are they the same?

Running the Lieca 1600B but it would be mint to input you own data as per the GunWerks rangefinder.

PM me a price on the rangefinder please.....cheers.

Hello Baz, The GunWerks G7 Br2 rangefinder will cost $1690 Australian plus freight & insurance. I have a Gunwerks DVD and other goodies to chuck in. From what I understand the G7BR2 is the latest version, I used it with Aaron & Mike Davidson when they did the long Range school in Australia.

    Cheers Rob

Ok so I've got one of these off rob270 from aussie, without sounding like a sales add rob was awesome to deal with and delivery was 4 days.
After some serious field testing this thing is as good as the add.
    Constantly ranges past 2000yrds,
Works in heavy rain that the Lecia wasn't working in.
The ballistic g7 feature works very well I can store multiple firearms in it and gives exactly the same dope as shooter does for all my cals.
Go get one and give it a try.

But you still need binos, no?
Swaro's go to 2000 yards, not that I would ever need to shoot that far.
