Your 284 wont be performing optimally for long range with that piggy barrel.
Get it rebarrelled to 24” and chop the 308 to 18”.
That way, for general use at a pinch, the 308 would be ok to 300 and the 284 would be useable in the bush butyoud have available performance in either bush or long range most of yhe time by choosing the appropriate semi specialised unit.
