    Geovid lens caps

Anyone know where I can get some other than Lacklands - they don't list the x42 objective lens caps on their website, and haven't responded to emails requesting information. Anywhere online I can just buy the damn things?

I have got 42mm ones from them in the past, they are a POS bit of plastic that breaks quickly, been through 3 sets, soon adds up. What makes me more annoyed is ive read on US forums that the american distributors give them out for free....

Must be something better out there

I'm using some inner tube at the moment but it's a bit inconvenient. They are a junk cap.

Just remembered @7mmsaum tied a bit of fishing nylon through a broken set and onto the rubber retainer and that apparently lasts ages.. No good if you have lost the broken ones tho

Yep, damn annoying. Onto my second set.

Must try that fishing nylon trick as I've still got the bits

If you know anyone at all in the US, get them to phone the 1-800 of Leica USA and they will fwd them free-of-charge a new set.
So the nett cost to you will be the postage to here.

This set on mine has lasted nearly 2 years, longest by far, but they are on there last legs.
