Hi guys
Does anyone have any info about these scopes. I just came across them today.
I have no idea how good they are.
I know they are German designed but not sure if they are German made.

@HJA8 ?
FWIF, not a scope but I have a set of GPO 10x42 Passion ED binos.
I've found them to be excellent optically and in build quality, and when I got them they were excellent value for money compared to Zeiss Terra's and similar
I did a bit of research on these just the other day. They are Chinese assembled but not sure exactly where the components come from. The couple of reviews i read were very positive.
ZeroPak Vacuum Sealers, Zero air Zero waste
If they were really german they wouldn't be called german precision options. They'd be called Bavarian archtightenprazisenshit glassenoptikscopenwagners. Or something like that.

turns out they indeed are bavarian
Na, they work under the slogan „she‘ll be right“
As I understand it, all components & electronics for GPO scopes are sourced in Europe. The scopes (depending on model) are assembled in Japan, The Philippines and China. GPO products undergo "quality control" in Germany and distributed from there.
Last year, I tried to buy a Spectra 6 offering & made enquiries here in Aus, USA, NZ and finished up dealing with Optics Trade in Slovenia!
This company said they could get one from Germany but after several delays, I finished up going cold on the idea and bought a Sightron S3 instead.
Seems to be very little info available on GPO scopes but the higher end ones appear to be highly regarded as far as image quality and features are concerned.

From my perspective, I'm pretty impressed with the Sightron (Japan) - Comapres very favourably with my Nightforce NX 8 at a MUCH cheaper price!

Gunworks in Christchurch stock some ot their products.
The best optic - wether scope, bino what so ever, regardless the price bracket is the optic that comes with the best service.
What happens, if you have problems after a few years and need spareparts.
Well known brands hold spareparts for decades. I‘m not sure how lesser known companies can achieve that.
Same old story, in the end you get what you pay for.
To give you an example, a mate had binos that where 30 (in letters thirty) years old, which needed a repair job.
At that Austrian company they could do it an even for a very moderate price.
Hi, I bought a Spectra 8x 2.5-20×50 scope of a local gunshop, when I compared it to my old Leupold VX3 6.5-20×40 LR, looking at a 4"×2.5" sticker on the back of a road sign 500yards down the street, I could clearly make out the black lettering on the yellow background with the Leupold, with the GPO scope the letters were blurry no matter how much I fiddled with the focusing, so I took it back and bought a Leupold VX6HD, I'm more than happy with the Leupold.
I’ve got a gpo scope for my 223 and more than happy with it. Robust and good glass
Just to make that clear, I‘ve nothing against GPO.
They get average reviews here in Germany.
And they have products in different price brackets.
Just asking myself, wether they have good support in the long run
like so many other small companies who pop up in the optics field.
