    If your rifle is able to shoot .6 MOA already with factory ammo, I would invest time and money into your (long range) shooting technique and practice which will be a future investment independent to the rifle.
    And if you think you can out-shoot your current rifle going down that road, buy a better one with a better scope and get that bedded to find yourself on a totally different skill level.
    0.6MOA @ 600m is 9cm. Lets say you get that down to a unrealistically 0.3MOA with bedding, that means 4.5cm @600m. In a 308 you get that variation with a wind change of only 1mph.

    Personally I find the guy pulling the trigger has the way bigger influence vs a bedding job. But a bedding job is done quick, feels good and satisfies our need for action in a short time frame.
