Magnumsports.com.au have deals on those scopes at the moment
And 31% off Zeiss
A big fast bullet beats a little fast bullet every time
Got exactly that on the 270 wsm at the moment (bottom one). I just can't get a good sight and reticle picture at 15pwr. Ok off the bench, but not under difficult hunting conditions. Maybe a combination of old eyes and glasses.
Cheers
If you want it and got the dosh then go for it
Very few scopes are optically great at full magnification. If you want to use 15 power buy a 3-18 or 6-20 or similar and use out to 15 power.
Or spend the money and get a Swarovski, S&B etc.
Just my 2c
Eye relief looks a bit tight?
Just how 'sub-par' are those Zeiss units compared to the likes of the Swaro and S&B, in real world hunting situations?
I've never used Zeiss, and only a few occasions last year had a chance to use a Swaro 2-16x50 when it was too dark to see where I was putting my boots, but I could make out Fallow bucks at 200m easily through the scope. So while I was impressed with the Swaro, just how further ahead of the Zeiss are they really?
I agree with Tahr. My 3-15 HD5 isn't the best at full mag
That Swarovski z3 that was for sale on here was a better buy, had a look at the sigs and they were ok.
Bought a 6-18 Meopta? Good a full mag
Boom, cough,cough,cough
Anecdotal advice would indicate there is no scope worth buying as well as every scope is great.
The only way to find out if it suits your needs is to buy one and spend some time with it.
