Going to Hawaii for Holiday in June

Hi all, I'm off to Hawaii in June to witness a good friend loose the good stuff in his life. Basically he's getting married. Goodbye friend. anyhow....

I am keen on stocking up on some gun parts and bringing them back over on my person. I spoke to the local arms office today and AO advised there is no issue importing gun parts unless it is a receiver. Everything else you are allowed to import into NZ unless it gets to a certain price then they will start charging tax and duty. That sounds fair enough.

The only unknown part is what is allowed out of the USA (Officially). Brownell's have a special "Available outside USA rifle parts" page linked below but that still doesn't really answer the question. Does the IATR still apply and prevent people from bring gear out and if so can i get a licence or something similar to get some stuff out. I'm only after accessories not actual gun parts.

    Any ideas?

No. None of those parts you can bring back yourself without violating federal law

Hawaii is one of the worst states for gun stuff in the US too. California, New York, Maryland, Hawaii, Connecticut, New Jersey, Massachusetts, plus misc. other places like areas of Illinois. Suck.

Just internet shop for whatever you want from Brownells, it'll be cheaper than a LGS in Hawaii and way less hassle to do it from home.
