So the day didn't go as planned, it kinda got turned on its head and had to sort some other stuff out first but all worked out in the end. I had to get to South Auckland first but poked my head in to Hunting and Fishing on the way, their stock was more than I expected and its good to know there is somewhere local for bits & pieces as well.
I had intended to start at Reloaders but ended up working my way back from the south so went to Serious Shooters first, I love that gun room, they have got a winner there. After trying pretty much everything the had I settled on a CZ455 Varmint 22lr, I thought the Browning's trigger was nicer but not by much and liked everything else about the CZ better, the Lithgow gets an honourable mention as well, also liked the Ruger American but it lacked the substance of the CZ. I couldn't see the point of visiting the other stores after I had already purchased a gun.
They were low on stock for scopes in the range I was after so they are getting some in for me to check out tomorrow, I will pick the gun up then.
Thanks for everyone's input and advice.
