So what do people reckon are good 1"scopes? Have a vx5 at the moment and love it but wondering what is a good 1" scope that dials well. Been down the vx3 route already.
Cheers

Swaro Z3 4-12 x 50 is 1” and Has a turret option. Don’t Know what they’re like though. But if you love the vx5...
Why aren't you going back down the VX3 route ?
Swarovski 3-9x36 is very lightweight, great optically and you can pop the turrent and set to zero.....top of the post is also spot on for about 450m. Use standard turrent to dial if time permits....
As long as you don't want to dial go swovorski z3 3.5 x 10 awesome scope my son has mine now the lucky bugger.

A used Zeiss HD5 with target turrets might be a worth a look?
Just brought a vixen 3x12x42,1"tube,weighs 12.5 ozs,life time warranty,good field of view close up,good glass and nice to dial.Its on a 20 moa rail,so can dial up 46 moa if I can see that far on my 308.Wont break yr budget from reloaders.
Swaro Z5 or Z3

@Forestry
Assume you have a 3-9x36? If so, would you do it again, or go for a larger objective lens model? Thinking about one for a non-supressed Sako .243.
Thanks
Hi Maxx - I’m very happy with my 3-9x36 and have never felt I needed a bigger objective. It’s partly because the glass quality is so good. At 3x it’s easy to shoot with both eyes open and plenty of field of view. Very lightweight and easy to mount low. I find 9x is plenty for out to 400m odd
Hi - not full dials but you can set them to zero after sighting in (pop up twist to zero and push down) then set up a simple drop chart pretty easy. The clicks are ok and numbers can be read. That’s what I mean by if you have time as you have to remove the caps and the knobs are low profile.
Your 243 will be pretty flat shooting and this may work for 300+Yard shots.
Sorry Superdiver the 243 reference was for Maxx
I’ve tried to post a picture of the Swarovski knobs but it keeps saying it’s too large.
Roger Stokes writes about using the same method with a Z3 in a few Rod and Rifle stories
