I have 3 DPT over barrels, 2 of them are on small 22 centernfires. What would be nice is a more compact, slimmer unit dedicated to 223/222. etc.

They do make a shorter over barrel one now @Friwi

The gen 2? or is there another model now? I was thinking more 32-35mm diameter and shorter length.

I have a couple in this ish diameter and they make the suppressor far less present in the scope in low magnification

So, we have a model called the mini overbarrel suppressor. Diameter is still 43mm diameter like the normal mk2 range but it goes back only 95mm over the barrel. It has been designed for the smaller capacity cases like 223,300 blackout, 44mag, 7,62x39 ...etc and also so that it could fit on rifles like the bergara single shot where the short barrel does not stick much forward of the fore end .
The price is the same as a standard overbarrel suppressor, the weight is not much less than the satandard MK2 and the noise reduction will be slightly affected due to the smaller volume of the rear chamber .
So if you have a bergara single shot rifle or an Howa mini in 300 blackout then the mini is the solution ,so that you do not have to trim your fore end .We do not advertise it on our website and you will have to contact us and make a specific request for it.

We highly encourage you to use the standard overbarrel suppressor for all other applications with non magnum calibres.

Yeah less is more. 223 would be one of the most used cartridges and only burning 25gr of powder a small dia shorter can makes sense. I have a carbon fiber one Tuiman made years ago, 180mm long and 38mm dia on my 243ai. Its been excellent.

I have more Dpt suppressors than anything else at the moment there's at least half a dozen sitting on my safe
They are awesome for adding suppression and I run one on my daily carry 300blk with 12 baffles on it to add weight/suppression with subsonics
For supersonic I will basically just run my oceaniadefence titanium 300blk it fits basically all my hunting rifles and although tiny works on all non magnum calibers so for me that's 223,243,300blk,308,280rem ect as well as the best 22 subsonic suppressor

@Bill999 12 baffels? how long is it like a foot? Must look impressive!

I run an ODL can too was going to use it for a subsonic 300blackout...did you find that the ODL did not suppress 300blk as well?

Yea it's about a foot long

The Oceania defence gets a real first round pop with the barrel I have, second shot on its superb (with sub-x)
I only ever use one shot so it pissed me off enough to go big on a Dpt
First round pop is still there but far less and I also wanted to test what was possible suppresson wise so just kept robbing my other Dpt suppressors for extra baffles and I ended up liking how the gun handles with the extra muzzle weight so kept them on
I really want to do a co2 system that dribbles in the muzzle to get the awesome second round onwards performance for that first shot
Not too many co2 bike inflators for sale in my town tho so that's a work in progress finding the right slow feed tap

Looking at the Maniatis suppressors... they look nice and light and shorter out from the muzzle than most... but what is the noise and recoil reduction performance like? The 2017 R&R test showed them at the lower end of the pack but I think that was an earlier model. Anyone have any "data" on the new model's decibel reduction achieved?

Interesting, have you read the NZ Hunter review of all major NZ Suppressor suppliers? The Maniatis suppressor is last in all aspects of the tests.

I also know a well known forum member who has one stored in the back of a cupboard...
