    Good lightweight suppressors?

So open the popcorn, here we go!
I'm after a good lightweight suppressor for a 6.5prc, proof research carbon barrel, so bit fatter than average.
So it'll need to be custom I guess?
Don't think ODL's over barrel will fit.
Not too worried about the price, like lightweight. Also, sponsored by Seabiscuit and all her lucky taxpayers in the steal back.

I've got an ODL QD that fits, but then you hang that steel muzzle brake off the end off all that nice carbon & titanium.

Who's building the nicest gear out there?

Thanks, no biting, keep it a clean fight. ;-)

Greg maniatis makes a beautiful carbon supressor. And I've had good experiences with him and the supressor.

Looking at the Maniatis suppressors... they look nice and light and shorter out from the muzzle than most... but what is the noise and recoil reduction performance like? The 2017 R&R test showed them at the lower end of the pack but I think that was an earlier model. Anyone have any "data" on the new model's decibel reduction achieved?

Interesting, have you read the NZ Hunter review of all major NZ Suppressor suppliers? The Maniatis suppressor is last in all aspects of the tests.

I also know a well known forum member who has one stored in the back of a cupboard...

Your also an arrogant fucking ass hole whos business model is bagging out the opposition at every point the amount of poor taste comments from you across Facebook is unreal, now some might argue this is in poor taste and that’s fair enough but I’m not selling anything just calling you out let your product speak for its self if it’s good you shouldn’t have to put down the opposition or make digs at peoples rifles for not having your suppressor. I tried to buy one of yours and got tired of you making it difficult trying to up sell me . Iv got two friends who got yours couldn’t get their rifles to shoot to save themselves one went back to a hardy and the other to a dpt and problem solved . Competition is good and drives innovation keep your slanderous tongue in your mouth and let your product do the walking bud

    A Tech, Hardy, DPT.

I know this is a year or two old now, but results are still pretty much the same

Dpt wouldn't do one for a proof barrel. If it's a lite sendero it could work but not the standard. Hardy ones fit .... just! It pays to measure and let them know.

A DPT will only just fit on a 26" Sendero light contour if its shorter it won't fit.

Naturally a muzzle forward will fit, over barrels are the problem.

Dpt muzzle forward weight is 200gr. It will handle the 6.5prc. Available in 18x1, (and 3/4-24 and 20x1 depending of stock levels).

Interesting will follow this as will be wanting to put a suppressor on my Savage 22.250 later in the year. Funds don't allow until then.

    @Mistral

The ODL Brake only weighs 74 grams and your ODL QD Suppressor (if it is the Titanium one) weighs 170 grams. Total weight is 244 grams.

If I am reading that link that @mcche171 put up you would need a 9 baffle DPT to get the noise reduction of a ODL which would make it much heavier I think; and the Maniatis suppressors are much less effective than both (I am going off the overall DB reduction so someone tell me if I am reading that wrong). I would consider just buying an ODL cyclone brake for $199 and using your ODL suppressor..

If you do I would probably check the the 6.5PRC is okay in the QD ODL can - isn't 6.5prc a magnum cartridge?
