Believe me, glass and its coatings have changed for the better over the last 20 years. I think you are right about wanting to make a change. You want a 1inch tube I assume because you don't want to swap out the rings you have? You don't mention if you want exposed turrets to dial out the drops or not? I have been on the Meopta bandwagon for quite some time now and continue to be a big fan. Mainly because you get a lot of quality for your money from a European company that is known for glass and quality products. I don't think you need to drop a grand to get something decent for your rimfire. I love the Meopta Optika5 4-20x50 Z-Plus reticle scope. You can dial in your drops using the Z-Plus reticle and Strelok Pro App. At under $500 it is a bargin.
