What’s everyone using?
I’ve been through a heap,
Broken zips , guns/scopes not fitting etc
The list goes on
Cheers

Hunting and Fishing do a line of black synthetic ones the larger one is not to bad at all reasonable price good zips 3 pockets one big enough for a suppressor - there is a smaller model with just one small pocket - well worth a look - more than happy with mine
Allen gun cases. They have a confusing array of models at varying price points, but they seem well built with proper zips. I think we've got 5 different ones in the family now.
Went to them after getting tired of the zips failing on the cheapies, or the lining fraying and getting caught in the zip from the inside. No complaints with these.
Tool pro hard case from supercheap when on sale
I rarely use a soft case now unless weight/volume is an issue
Check out the soft bags for Tikka rifles - though branded T3 or Tikka on the bags, are a good fit with rifles with big scopes like my 4x12x50. Also appear to have a sturdy side zip pouch that fits the suppressor/bolt/mag etc. I have had my first T3 rifle bag (originals were green) for about 12 yrs now, still going strong. Brought another one last year for a second rifle (bags now black/orange).
I just bought a sako bag .
It's big got a good pocket and at $80 not even to much sako tax .time will tell how long it lasts

These guys are in bay of plenty, nz hand made at a good price.
Will do custom size as well I’d say.
I have a few from Nz outdoor gear as others have suggested good heavy duty canvas or pvc, bloody good. Don’t waste your $ on the branded rubbish from the big hunting stores. Every single one I’ve had in the past has fallen apart in some way, broken zips, stitching giving way, handles breaking etc etc
They’ll make whatever size you want, $100.
I prefer the green canvas but the pvc floats….
Whatever you do, stay away from Spika. Piece of shit, fell apart on me.
I used my spika bag for work the last few years. Over 500 nights easy, and the foam separated from the bag at maybe 400th. Quick blast with spray glue and it's back as new.
They're good for tall scope and short rifle, and the foam is great. I'd toss it about no bother.
For proper trips you can't beat a pelican/sca hardcase imo.
Going to order some of those nz made ones myself, custom sizing is very appealing at the price.
the pvc can be sticky against the plastic box in my ute and the green canvas looks more traditional for the lever action haha.
