Gun City XR5 Night Vision goggles

Was just looking at the Gun City webb page and they have a set of ATN XR5 milspec Night vision goggles for $2999.00. Considering they were selling these for $19`999 last time I looked and usually $21`999 either they have stuffed up the price or someone is in for the deal of a lifetime.

Hell if I was looking for a set I`d grab it , Or at least enjoy them trying to explain their way out of not selling at a advertiesd sale price item.

Yep last XR5 I imported for a guy up north was $14`500 inc gst from memory. About $13`000 now with the Dollar. Hell of expensive though it was a very nice tube when it arrived. Some of the Gen2+ SHP tubes are XR5 but with say a tiny flyspot so sold as Gen2+ for around $6000. My son has one thats about perfect but for 1 tiny flyspot.

Yeh that was the one.Out of interest sake I would ask if I was you. I can do the PVS-7B Goggles for around $14`000 with the XR5 tube and GC were doing the ATN XR5 verson for $20`000 so think they forgot a Zero in the price.
The XR5 is very nice but as mentioned by Gimp very expensive. I have started importing the Gen3 Katod tubes and hell are they nice. They well outshine the XR5 and my 2 personal U.S Gen 3 units, $6400 at the moment and sold 6 in the last month.
Had 2 guys turn up here 2 weeks ago and tried some of what I have, compared to U.S gen3. They then tried the other stuff mentioned here and ordered 2 sets $13`000 worth off me, for rabbit shooting.

Had a play with the latest PULSAR N750 Digisight rifle scope at the fieldays. very cool gear. 600m at night. $3000. works in daylight to. I was told better than gen3 because it is digital. but i'm new to night vision so don't understand that as yet.

yes, I seen them too, digital seems like the way to go unless you have thermal dollars.
are his prices the best around?
    anyone own any of them?

Gimp is as his name suggests. So you probably don't want to take your advice from a Gimp, unless it's about lubrication.

Pulsar N750 Digisights are great, and we sell around 10 per month throughout New Zealand, and a few into the South Pacific.

We sell them to professional pest controllers, as well as farmers who use them for shooting pests, such as deer that feed on swede crops, pigs that kill lambs etc. DOC are about to evaluate them, several regional councils are interested in trialing the Digisight. Wellington Regional Council said they were 'blown away' by its performance.

We also sell thermal sights, thermal monoculars, thermal bi-oculars, Gen2+ gear, and US Gen3 gear for Govt departments. But out of all our products, people love the Digisight, and one sale often turns into multiple sales for their friends and family.

Ask Poacher on this forum (Wirehunt actually isn't a poacher, he's a pro pest controller), he'll tell you about the N750.

    Check out our Youtube channel:

    YukonOpticsNZ's channel - YouTube

Just remember the video is crap compared to what it looks like through the screen.

If anyone wants more info about this sight, and a really great price, don't ask advice from someone who's uninformed.
