Gun Porn, show off your new toys

    Heres my lastest

I was after a general allround LR hunting & gong shooting rifle to fill a gap & this fitted the bill, Only just lapped the rings & fitted the scope last night & will hopefully put some rounds threw it this week
Had the bolt flutted by GW ( might get the barrel done at some stage ) & the muzzle break is a temp off another 7mm mag ( not sure what flavour of break I'll get yet ) & still not sure if I will re-stock it or not yet, I'll wait & see how she shoots first

good little project rifle :have a nice day:

    T3 7mm RM, VX 7 3.5-14 x 50 & just over 8lb

    Molot Vepr .308 Win

Have since added a recoil buffer, ejection port buffer (by Valmet) and a genuine Molot scope mount (from Kalinka optics)
Still to add the scope/rings (haven't made my mind up yet) and a brass catcher.

Managed 1.89" group with BVAC factory FMJ with open sights, so should group well with reloads and a scope.

Latest toy = Browning Abolt Ti 5.2lbs of sexy gun goodness and better yet traded the worst copper fouling rifle in the world for it . Was going to buy a Kimber but there are just toooooo many horror stories out there. Not bloodied yet but off to spot XXX in 2 weeks to give it some action.

Dont those Tikkas look hot with a fluted bolt!! Might have to "get the wife" one T3 or A7 + fluted bolt + fluted barrel could be a pretty mean machine.

Nothing wrong with a Stirling 22 semi mate, my one marks every round it chambers & is about as refined as a Lada but shit it's an accurate little buggar

So you bought a can of coke and a can of redbull (with vodka I'll assume) for your guns?

See if you can bring a cover back. :have a nice day:

I forgot to add with my previous post. NZ Customs insisted on a import permit for the friggen recoil buffer. A $15 little bit of polyurethane.
Cost more to administer the sending of the letter to me than the buffer was worth. Nice to see our taxes at work.

    G'Day Fella's,

No worries Gimp, I feel privileged and happy to be of assistance!

Here is an image of a couple of my current In Progress, project rifles.
    Attachment 159

The top rifle, is a Remington 673 (Guide Rifle and now my Sambar rifle) in .350 Rem Mag, with an Aimpoint red dot scope in an unfinished, High Tech Specialties (HTS) stock.
The other rifle, is a Rem 700 Stainless SPS in .223 Rem. It is also in an HTS stock with a 10 x 42 Swarovski fixed power scope and www.lumleyarms.com DBM bottom metal.
I just need to find the time to finish both of them off (grind recoil pads, rub them back, abrasive blast them and I will Cerakote them both (Sniper Grey for the stocks and Graphite Black for metal work).

    Doh!

Here is an image of my favorite revolver.
It's a stock standard Smith & Wesson Model 64 in .38 Special, with some after market wood grips.
    Attachment 160

My favorite semi-auto pistol, is a Kimber 1911 Stainless Target II in .38 Super.
When I get the time, I need to finish my effort in Personalising it, then I'll take a picture and post it here!

    Doh!

    G'Day Proud Kiwi,

Yes they are but how about we let Gimp give his pair a workout and then read his report on what he thinks about them?
I have had a couple of other slightly larger "Cans" (in .243Win & .260Rem) being tested by a NZ hunting guide (Peter C in Nth Canterbury), for a few months now.
Please see attached, the copy of an image from Peter C on his experiences, with the "Can" on his 20" Rem mod 7 in .260Rem.

As you can see, PC mentions on the bottom line that the .260 makes the noise of a 410 shotgun, from the shooters perspective.

    Doh!

How do they hold up Homer? Like would they happen 500 rounds a week through them with the 223?
Do you have over barrel or only can type?
