I remember when I had to buy the same rifle in different calibers so the wife never picked up on how many rifles I owned she recently admitted she still has no idea

My Wife suggests fairly regularly that it's about time I got a new "toy". Unfortunately that is usually followed by "but we need new bathroom/flooring/when are you doing the lawns,?

Waldo Peens has the right idea

Had a mate mate in America pass recently & leave me a few of his guns & gear .This is the rifle he had set up for Arctic hunts & conditions with the action being treated with the Cerakote micro slick treatment to counter icing up .

He took Polar & Grizzly bear with it & he used it on a couple of Moose,Caribou & Elk hunts, shot count is 235 according to his meticulous (Ex Military) records that came with it, the rifles proven loads for the - Swift 150grn Scirocco at 3480fps shoots into 20mm, - Swift 180gr Scirocco at 3290fps shoots into 14mm , the 180gr Speer BTSP at 3350fps shoots into 22mm & the 200gr Accubond & 200gr Woodleigh at 3180fps shoots 22-24mm & the 240gr Woodleigh at 2835ps does just over MOA.

Time to let the cat out of the bag......meeeoooow
As a few of you know I have been accumulating bits and bobs for a new project.
I wanted something versatile that could shoot a wide selection of pills for a wide variety of purposes.
Also those that know me, know I'm a little longer than the average fella. I was intrigued by this new offering from benelli the "LUPO" a chassis style rifle without the ugly chassis and pistol grip that digs into your spine.
The Lupo comes with an array of shims that allow for adjustable L.O.P cast, drop and grip to trigger length.
They also have interchangeable cushioned comb that comes in different heights.
I there is alot of other interesting features but I'll do a bit of a write up when I start load development.
The action is incredibly slick, I did a lot of homework before buying this rifle and I don't think I'll regret it. My Lupo is chambered in 30-06 Springfield.

Congrats @dannyb ! Looks like a great rifle, and great all-round caliber too! May it bring you great success!

Maybe when you take it out for it's first deer, you can drag me and my .375 along

Picked up this week beauty today from @Skipton butch 's lovely wife who gave Bo a present too so he's very happy pup thanks mate, very happy, I'm sure we will make many memories in the hills together. I had big plans for tarting it up again etc but it tells a story when you pick it up. Very impressed with how these things come up and how light and well balanced they are for a 60+ year old rifle. We decided it wasn't a majestic as it has the full length Mauser extractor, scalloped lightweight action etc. Just did a serial # check and it's a 1956 lightweight Royal Viscount, would have been a originally a 243 and has been rebarelled with a Douglas premium still in 243. Judging by the wear on the chequering and carry points I'd say she did some miles!

Got my rings back from engineer today, got him to give them a hoozle up to fit 26mm tube scope and have my recently re-aquired (thanks @Mathias ) Nickel Supra 4x36 mounted loosely in them to see how it looks, quite happy
Will send them off to be anodised or powder coated gloss black again as they've turned gold after years of carry in the elements, have seen a few of these Parker Hale rings do this. Interesting when I had the action out of the stock today I noticed it has stamped under the barrel " C&B 1986" the barrel is a Douglas premium and has Douglas Premium Cal 243 stamped in the usual location so was obviously a rebarrel at some stage. Does the "C&B 1986" have any significance? Hopefully get some dies etc sorted this week and be able to shoot it. Might pick up some federal blue box (the test of any rifle..) tommorow and see how she goes
