BERGARA 6.5 PRC, ARKEN SCOPE EPL4. Really happy with this rifle, enjoying hand loading with ADG Brass and Berger projectiles.

I was finally able to get the latest addition out for a play today.
Sauer Fieldshoot 6.5CM, Hardy’s suppressor and Meopta Meosport scope. (Laminated rifle beside the .223 Sauer)
The rifle is an absolute dream to shoot! The scope is incredible value for the money too!
Now it’s run in and I’ve found what it likes to eat (5 shot groups in the photo), I’m keen to stretch its legs out as far as we can go!

Bought some brass off a dude recently and he had same rifle. Said vastly more accurate than any sako's he had.

    New member on here.

Sauer 404 XT Classic chambered in 270 win with a Zeiss V8 2.8-20x56. Using 130gr Hornady GMX Outfitter which gets me around .7 MOA at 100m.

That is the Sauer 404 case made by Negrini for travel which is airline approved. Weighs 2.5kg

Nice package. And awesome chital skin. Perfect for mats as they are one of the only deer species without hollow hair. ( doesn’t break when walked on. )
I would be interested what you think of the 404. Did you come to the 404 from another model Sauer? 202?

Cheers mate! I am really stoked with it and the way it comes up and feels. Trigger and bolt are butter smooth.

Did not hunt this one myself as getting a property in Brisbane is not as easy.

I came to Sauer from a long time being a Sako fan. Both me and dad had Sako Bavarian's but sold them and got the 404. In my opinion the 404 is quite superior, that some hunters prefer them over Blaser who are quite similar. You can adjust the trigger pull weight to 550 g (1.2 lbs), 750 g (1.7 lbs), 1000 g (2.2 lbs) and 1250 g (2.7 lbs) , it's a modular system so you can just buy more barrels and bolt heads and you got yourself a new rifle , the tool to take down the rifle is on the forend where the sling attachment is, Breaks down to nothing when travelling if you use the sauer case or even the smaller pelican cases ( 1700 ) , i mainly bought it because of the safety and having the manual cocking system is the safest on the market , you can adjust your trigge blade to left or right or can move it forward or backwards to suit your length of pull. It returns to zero when you remove your scope which is another bonus. Lot of manufactures who make mounts for the 404 ( Do not get the Sauer SUM , Innomount is superior to them and what we use on both of our 404's ) . https://www.optics-trade.eu/au/mount...04-mounts.html Any mounts i need i always use these guys, 4 day shipping to australia.

You will not be dissapointed with a 404, i have used blasers , they are nice but i love my 404. Downside with the 404 is that caliber selection is not as good as with blaser and the scope is mounted on the receiver and not on the barrel, like blasers if you want a steel receiver you got to pay extra but the 404 has the 8x68 S, 10,3x68 Mag., 10,3x60R, .375 H&H Mag all in Aviation-grade high-alloy aluminum receiver so i would say they would be safe to use unless you pay extra for the steep receiver.

Apologies to everyone on here for a long post hahaha

Scope looks a long way above the comb? What's it like to shoot prone?

It’s a far cry from what I set out to do when putting this together intentions were vx3hd 2-10ish VX5hd 3-15 at the most and no can but it was a noisy dog and I dropped a friends brand new can so needed to replace that any how a classic with a modern twist much more grabable from the safe now being suppressed I did cry dropping it into Wilson’s to be sent to DPT and I did cry while drilling holes in the stock for the MTN bipod rail but we have moved passed that another top notch job from DPT and service from Wilson’s dropped it off Tuesday 9 am had a message from Jason at 11am today saying it was back unreal @Friwi
