It's not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves.....Sir Edmund Hillary
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

It certainly doesn’t win any beauty contest but I reckon it would be a shit tonne of fun in a PCCK.

GBC 223 straight pull with a Hardy suppressor, Jard set trigger, topped off with a vortex.
Have posted before - but stuck a GPO spectra 2.5-10x44 on it today
Marlin 308 18” barrel - awesome gun for bush with a bit more reach with what I think is an awesome scope for both.![]()
Me new Tikka Strata 243, and its a fast twist, not that it makes any diff to me. Needs scope and chop to 18 and weld on lug for the bayonet

My sister's rifle I've been playing around with. She bought it all new and gunstore set it up for her with a rail and rings that had the scope up stupidly high, it also had a really long suppresor on it and was quite unweildly to carry and shoot and she reckoned it was just a bit heavy all round.
Managed to pick up a stug stock for it and gave it a bit of a tidy up, dremelled the remington bedding out of it and re bedded it, epoxy repaired a big chip missing out of the fore end and chopped the heavy limbsaver off it as it had gone sticky anyhow. Did the "redband jandal pad" which actually turned out quite good if I do say so myself. Turfed the rail and put some "nikko talleys" on it and it's much nicer to handle and can get behind it much better. Suppresor went back in the cupboard and now has a radial brake on it (you only need one shot anyhow..)
Quite impressed with the little Burris fullfield 2 3-9 she had on it, glass it great for the money and it feels solid and has a nice simple holdover reticle. I've just picked up a couple boxes of Precision hunter which I'll chrono and make a chart for the reticle. Should be a decent wee Tahr (and wapiti!) slayer now.
