Went halves with the old man for the bare rifle. I then added a few little goodies I had sitting around and ended up with this.

    Marlin X7 .270 22"
Factory base + Burris Sig Zee Rings
    Weaver Super Slam 3-15x42
    HRE Gen II Suppressor

Off to sight it in shortly and then take it for a walk tonight or tomorrow evening all going to plan.

    Deer slayer right there Popshot.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Doesn't seem to like 130gr Remington Corelokts too much. Groups were areound 1 1/2" at 100 yards. A little bit different to shooting the T3 that's for sure.

Handloads are on the way though!

    1 1/2" is still a kill shot.

All work done... It will stay this way for a while... If it shoots I may have to find room for a Manners TA when I burn this barrel out!!

SSRNZ Did all the work, Timney trigger installed, Pillar and Glass Bedded the Boyds Featherweight, Raceway polished,The Bottom metal inletted,SSS Recoil lug and the Barrel threaded for the Greystone Can.

I like it so far, but I am not that sure how much better a really nice rifle would shoot? Let's call it a lack of experience. This was my first group once I sighted it in, and when I pointed it at a goat weekend just gone it fell over so I assume it's alright!Name: target1.jpg
