Got another 300 Terminator going this weekend.

It has a slow 28" Shillen barrel, T2 Terminator muzzle brake, McMillan A3 Carbon stock, lightweight firing pin, fluted bolt & barrel, extended magbox.

We wanted a mid weight LR rifle, it weighs 9.2 lbs, 4.180 complete with the 3-18x50 VX6 & Aluminas

It shoots the Berger 230 Target Hybrid sub half moa at 3100 fps happily.

camo wsm, Toby, Gunzrrr and 1 others like this.

Presumably it's still "gunporn" to someone regardless of whom it belongs to

I couldn't care who it belongs to if it's not mine, still gunporn.
Like looking at a hot babe on the beach-still enjoyable even if you don't know who she is with.
The only issue is it could be stealing the customers thunder if they were planing to show it off

its damn handy and only weighs 5.5lbs nigh the scope included, and the grendel ballistics in a bolt gun (120gr ballistic tip at 2700fps) are better than in an AR.

I worked up that load with BM2, i got up to filling the case 31gr before there was a slightest hint of pressure. I settled on 28gr as that was the most accurate, Lapua Brass and a modern bolt action really let the little case perform. the published data for AR rifles is very conservative in a bolt action.

the rifle was a 7.62x39 and it has been bead blasted and cerakoted flat black.

Yep I know where you are coming from.

The factory 450 Bushmaster ammo is supposed to do 2200fps in a AR15 with a 20" barrel (IIRC), it does 2000 ish in my 12" bolt actions,

I can easily load it up to go 22-2300fps, I bet the ARs wouldn't like that load at all

Velocity is thrilling, but diameter does the real killing.
