    Tobys advice not mine @Freezer it previously belonged to @thedrunkfish . I put 40 rounds through it max. The mud in the checkering was his also. Glad you kept it on there it adds character

    I did not like that rifle, i dont know what it was. I only fired 20 rounds through it, that was enough for me.

    Well those 60 combined rounds did a great job of breaking in the barrel. It looked like a 7mm projectile would have been sweet down it.
    Thankfully no damage, and I've no doubt it's still going to provide use as a walking stick and supplying an excessive amount of meat for curries.

    new to me no4 mk1 lee enfield
    i put an ATI stock and scope rail on it and burris 3-9x40 scope.
    off to sight it in tomorrow.... hopefully.
    the whole rifle is about 800mm long. will be interesting to see how it shoots

    Absolutely it will. It's only a lousy old ugly Savage after all. I cleaned 3 out of 4 of mine today, the other is about 400km away and will get done at Christmas. They've all had a couple or five hundred rounds through them and mint barrels.
