It's so nice to carry all day and to be honest I don't feel under gunned at all.....I've seen some awesome shooting over here and nothing beats the sight of an old boy cleanly killing a high bird with nothing more than an ounce of 6 shot.....

@Kiwi Greg what is the rear mount? Looks like you get a good MOA adjustment from it? If so on top of that already built into the action?

I also have the original Ruger Skeleton stock with the walnut inserts, so I can change it to be a little lighter...

REAL? Hugh must be a heck of a good guy, I can't find a 'smith' the country wide that's been willing to touch any of my Rugers! Hope she shoots well for you!

I have just mounted a spare Vortex Diamondback scope on it, and been out to put a few rounds down it to see how she shoots...

It shows some promise, that's 5 at 50 yards without a rear rest. It went pretty well with subs and Stingers as well. I got it sighted in a little high at 50 with the stingers, then picked out some little rocks at around 100 or so, and nailed them every time.

Hopefully will get it better once i lighten up the trigger a bit. I think its a keeper!
