On ya Brads. I remember making something similar for my nephew forty years ago.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

I made one similar years ago when the lads were 5 or younger with a broken stock off a .22 rifle added a galvanised pipe to the stock and a bolt. The Grandparents went ape when they saw the boys at that age walking up the hill with what they thought was a rifle.

I had something similar Dundee, then I worked out it made a pretty good launch platform for skyrockets and I "shot" my sister with it, last I saw of it was dad taking it away as I lay on the ground crying after he gave me a good smack on the ass with it!

I remember making one as a kid even pinched the sliding bolt off the gate so I had a bolt action like the old mans

Like @Dundee I made one for my boys from a cracked rifle stock, broom handle painted black and an old Nikko Sterling scope. Had to eventually hide it from them as it looked a little too real and was causing a bit of concern from their mother and others.

I've done a bit of swapping around.

The Tikka 7mmRM now has a 20 moa base, should get me to 1300 yards for the Toby Shoot

I bought a new 6.5 Creedmoor so needed a new scope for the Forbes - little VX3i 1-5x20, due to its setup the scope doesn't suffer from sun strike like my other ones do (front lens is seated about 2 inches back in the body). Rifle is super light, feels like a toy!

Ha awesome, I had one from a cracked Sako hunter stock after the old man ran his 270 over with the landcruiser. Also had the odd issue with the neighbours thinking I was running around with a real rifle in the backyard.
