How do you find the PST? Is it the 2.5-10x44?

Yep that is the model @Hunter_killer it's a good scope, had it on my .243 but better suited for the bunnies and hares, PST recticle helps in the darker spots.

I wanted the junction of base/boat tail seated forward of the neck/shoulder junction.

    Back to the drawing board!

Nice rig though, good use of a Tikka sized action

Yeah it makes sense I reckon, make the most of the case capacity. The 284 round at that length fits ands feeds out of the long action mag perfectly too.

I'm looking forward to shooting it, was hoping to today but it hasn't stopped raining all day.

What powder are you using with the amax in the 708?

    And what's your barrel length?

So that's how you earn the brownies to be able to walk thru the door with a new rifle and not get questioned...

Nah, always had the suppressor. Stock was looking rough as guts after a few tumbles, so I got it hydro dipped in wood grain pattern, and bead blasted barrel and action to take out scratches etc. Looks like new now.

@GWH T3 7mm08 cut to a 284 with standard barrel length would make a nice LR rig to say 1000. Should get 2800fps? With 162amax's.?

Yeah for sure. My m595 was 708 rechambered to 284, 22.5" barrel. I can get 2900+ with 162 using 7828ssc.
