    My middle one does that to me all the bloody time. Purchasing on this forum is usually better all round as we have a family Trademe account which I have found perilous to purchase from (Land Rovers and guns).

    Good rifles. Heavy bitches though. I had one in .243 and liked it. The varnish on the stock is inclined to flake.
    I saw that on TM and was tempted too...I liked the Voere that he's re-listed too.

    Yea I didn't think it would be to light but that's fine sounds like quite a lot of work went into making them & I have light guns ..interesting reading up about them...I went into the local sports shop to buy a pac of bullets just incase it turned up over the weekend & one thing about the 30/06 is the wide bullet range to choose from I was hoping they had some 220,s !...im after a box of 30/06 bullets please what have ya got... yep weve got the 150 grainers ..anything bigger , nope , anything smaller...nope at least I didn't have to think to long about what box to get

    My first centre fire was a CF2 in 243. Bitch of a thing, but only because I'm left handed. They must have the worst possible stock design to shoot left handed.

    @GWH 42.7gr 2208 mate and 20" tube - seems to shoot pretty well. Only shot two animals with this load to date.
    @Timmay - I plan to re-chamber my spare T3 7/08 barrel to .284 when I feel the need.

    They say if one is good then two are better.

    A few months back i purchased @buzzman's near new T3 in 7mm08 that he'd already fitted the long action mag and bolt stop and had the barrel lopped back to 17", it was the perfect candidate for converting to a 284 SuperPig.

    After receiving it i was keen to see if the barrel was a 'shooter' as it was as a 7mm08, so loaded up a handful of 140 NBT's at 1gr under max and seated the pills to where they 'looked' right and headed off to the range......

    First two shots, @100

    I then started playing around with a 284 case and a 162 Amax, these things were made for each other....

    And the decision was made to send it away to Gunworks to get it re-chambered in 284 win. I got Robbie to use his reamer with a .316 neck and had it throated to suit the 162 seated out.

    I just received the barreled action back today, and have it all back in one piece and bore sighted waiting to try some test rounds.

    Even if i can only get the 162 Amax doing a max of 2750 (using standard powders, ive got some 7828ssc to try), it appears to still hold 1,000 ft lbs of energy to 850 yards, gotta love high BC bullets.

    Hopefully it still shoots like it did.
    Looking promising with the 162.

    Not mine, the old man celebrated winning the sambar section at the sika show this weekend by buying another rifle.

    Mauser orbendorf 270. Beautiful fully wooded stock and the very cool quick detach scope mounts. On the hunt for a 30mm tube scope to fill them.
