Once home I mounted up a Weaver SuperSlam in 2-10x42 and set about loading up some test rounds with 143g ELD-X'S.

    Loads looking promising

I had 4 rounds left, so entered the data into shooter, dialed the weaver and smashed the 6" plate at 300 and 400 twice each.

The 143g eldx at 2755 fps will be pretty useful holding 1k ft lbs to 850 yards!

Well you're phuked you'll never need to buy another rifle
Real guns start with the number 3 or bigger and make two holes, one in and one out

Better comparison of my South Korean Daewoo K2 and Serbian PAP M90NP

    Daewoo K2

    Zastava PAP M90NP

Both are long stroke gas piston rifles. Both have adjustable gas settings. Both use AR Mags. Both have 1/7 twist 18" barrels. Both can mount optics in a crude fashion. Both were cheap when new and are no longer made/imported.

Now of course, the Daewoo is a more refined rifle. It took the best offers from the AK, FAL, and AR-15. The Zastava is a Serbian AK built in 5.56x45mm and mated at the factory with a mag adaptor. But the Zastava isn't a bad rifle by any means. Accurate, well built, and has strong aftermarket support. In the future it will be getting a Magpul Zhukov Stock and a Hogue Forend.

The Daewoo has less support but as a factory built gun. It works and works well. The OEM stock and handguard are comfortable and ergonomic. The trigger is amazing. Weight wise, it beats the Zastava by a pound of so. For a rifle of the 1980s. It is a hell of a lot better than the period Colt SP1 Carbines and Rifles in terms of features.
Signature removed because some people are intolerant of me being American.

Yep, it has come out really well. A bit trickier than a normal stock. Will be shooting it this weekend.
