Think that's what my SxS is I got given it, by a shooting mate, in Canada after I loaned him use of my house, for a few months, after the big Fort Mac Fire, must check when home, it's a lovely handling 20 ga SxS at any rate. Papers back 100 years with a full rebuild in London in the 60's

Mine is a 12 gauge just feels like a 20. They are a pretty rare gun, still make a handful a year these days but cost 40,000 pound each. Make in edindburough to rival the likes of purdey and holland and holland.

It even puts the seat down for you.

    Hey buddy,
I am a NZ born KIWI who moved to the US at age 21 and returned to NZ - retired at age 52.

I am a US citizen and think that I have a reasonable understanding of the history and current political climate in both countries.

You certainly do have some interesting firearms but I do question why you would choose to post on a NZ Hunting and Shooting Forum.

If you think that you are being singled out on a NZ Forum because you are an "American" try moving to Seattle or anywhere on the West Coast and living with the liberal bull shit that I was exposed to for 15 years.

I'm currently on holiday in the Seattle area and happy to be back visiting with many people who I call friends but as the age old saying goes "don't talk about religion or politics with friends and family".

It's not on a firearm yet but this thing is pure class in my eyes, 30mm steel tube Kahles Helia S 1.5-6x42. I wanted this exact model scope and have spent the past 18 months on and off keeping an eye on eBay etc trying to find one in good condition that the seller would send to NZ... finally put a WTB post on here the other day to try see if anyone had anything similar, bingo! This thing is in great condition and reeks of quality compared to anything more modern I have handled, very happy Amazing what some of you blokes have stashed away!

It's going on a special project for now and will eventually go on zkk 600 (in 270) when I manage to get another scope for "special project" rifle

1.5-6 BELONGS on a .270 winchester........... Ive used mine as a bush rifle for years... if you cant hit an animal with 6 power kahles you are either stretching barrel, shooting mice or need to go to specsavers.....
very much looking forward to seeing this new bruno project when its done...

What an awesome looking scope I've got a swovoski 3 x 9 that I've had for about 25 years it doesn't look as nice as that but it just goes to show if you spend the dollars at the start they do last.

Hmmm - the Winchester is nice, and "classic" in every way. however for my money I'd be going Brno Model 21 or ZG-47, which were a better rifle in every way than the "legend in its own marketing" pre 64 Model 70

    - Tikka T3x Lite Stainless with factory threaded 20 inch barrel in 7mm08
    - DPT Suppressor with stainless steel baffle
    - Leupold VX-1 3-9 x 40mm Scope
    - Talley Extra Low Lightweight Rings

It's a nuts and bolts setup. The stock on the Tikka is soulless, but that's OK and there is no doubt that despite being a fine product, the suppressor alters the balance of the gun. Otherwise, very happy and would love to hear some more 7mm08-latte jokes! I like the extra "lowness" of the Talley rings.

I'll use it mainly for goat hunting @Taff. Overkill you might say, but it will also be my deer gun when I get the opportunity.
