It takes a bit to get this old bugger excited nowadays, but the prospect of my new Mod7 laminated/blue 300saum arriving tomorrow has done the trick.
I even have a batch of trial hand-loads ready to go and a spare 'scope (Conqest 3-10 z600) in its mounts and waiting. :)

p.s. Its the first time I've used CCI200 primers. Anyone have some feedback on them? I bought a 1000 during the shortage so might as well use them. Use Federal in everything else.

I have used CCI200s for nearly all my reloading and found them to be reliable and consistent, allthough im currently using Federal Gold Medal Match magnum primers with my 300saum load, for no other reason than I decided to try something different and the load is working so havnt changed it.Quote:

Quick look at the collection, bit of a Beretta slant on it. From left a Beretta semi, Tikka 6.5x55 w DPT which I took possession of yesterday,
Tikka 300win mag with DPT and a Vortex Viper 4-16x50 ffp pst which is about to get replaced with a Zeiss hd5 3-15 which turned up yesterday.
Tikka 22-250 w a leupold and a hardy and a laminate stock as of yesterday which I pinched off the 6.5.
And the Sako stainless wood hunter in 270, w a Zeiss conquest, soon to be wearing a DPT so I start using it again.
Everything gets used a fair bit. All I'm after now is maybe a 308 bush pig and some kind of super extreme unnecessary magnum.

Just waiting on the dpt over barrel can. Tikka t3 308 Harris biped, leupold 6.5-20*50 maxtorch for when thing go dark. @R93 torch mount, @JoshC cheek rest, @burtonator scope. Wearing a (gunworks?) can for this weekend. Nope the rain stops so I can take her for a spin up lewis pass/ lake Christopher this weekend. If not look out bunnies over the road next week. Any idea how much the rings should have been? 300mm stainless sako options low mount? Feel very ripped off at h&f kaikoura at $300 didn't check receipt till I got home!
Yeah optiloks are worth more than gold these days - No idea why they aren't that fantastic!

Rem 700 BDL 24 inch Barrel (20 years old) just added a Vortex 4x16 x 44 on a 20 MOA rail, rifle is stock standard. Shooting 162 gr A-Max at 2955 fps, best group I have shot at 520 yards was 4.75 inch.( wind from right to left)
My main stalking rifle is a T3 Tikka in 300 Win Mag with a 2.5 x 10 Nikon Monarch with BDC reticle ( works pretty good) which my son and his mate bought me when he last visited from Canada.
