The original bushpig - Winchester Model 94 Trapper, 30-30win. 16 inch barrel, overall length 860mm (tape measure is set at legal minimum for a rifle).
Not exactly new, I bought it 31 years ago, but it about to have a scope for the first time.

real bush pig not a fashion one
it acts as a shell deflector :D
I'll let you know in a week or two! ;)
It is an angle eject model, but with low rings I'm not sure the angle will be enough. The rifle was factory drilled and tapped for scope bases, so Winchester reckoned it would work.
A Leupold VX Hog 1-4 x 20 is going on it, if it doesn't work out it will replace the cheapish 2.5 x 20 i have on another rifle. The Trapper has always had open sights for shooting bailed pigs, so I could see where the dogs were. No dogs now and eyesight getting worse, so now it gets the scope.
angle eject model works fine with weaver bases and a scope . . .
R.
Havnt shot it yet weather has been to crappy up here I'll let you know when I do tho
Versamax Tactical, not new but new to me Attachment 71691
Nice @R93 I will be getting a slightly longer extension but not until after I get the E-cat endorsement
Fair enough. If it goes as good as mine you will be very happy with it.
Very smooth shooting guns. I was hesitant to go gas op for what I use it for but it is piss easy to maintain.
Doesn't like one brand of ammo (can't recall which) but cycles both light and heavy loads of the good stuff.

Have you tried 3.5" loads in yours? ive herd the tac take it but others say they dont but id rather fid out from some one who actually own ones other than what some one herd through the grapevine
I think they sent that to the wrong address @PERRISCICABA haha
[QUOTE=R93;613355]No, I haven't sorry. Never used a 3 1/2 in shell in my life.
Sent from my SM
Neither but always up to try something new haha
nice, your magazine extension seems a little shorter than mine :P
Ive kept mine on a-cat (7+1) as only use it for the odd fun service rifle shoot and the odd fluffy or furry thing...
Attachment 71722
@Gruntzer yours does look longer my magazine tube ends 2 1/2 inches before barrel end but it does take 7+1 though, just aint got one of those tactical chokes, they look cool
The longer magazine extension is E-cat (8 rnds), but I have a small loose plastic rod to keep it to 7x 2-3/4 shells.
I think the Police told them (dealer) they had to stop this and hence supply them with the shorter magazine tube.
The only reason I keep the tactical breaching end on it is because its a good barrel protector.
Yeah the Police have done guess to line up with ar15s only having a max 7 round mag for A-Cat,
I've got Briley extended choke on mine

And its now the jewel in the crown of my small mil surp collection

Choice, im glad its getting a workout:thumbsup:
They're heavy lol, I'm quite impressed with the SHV ( always thought they were a bit cheap ) but I've been pleasantly surprised - nice glass, good positive clicks with zero lock & very well made / designed for the $$$, Just need to source a throw lever for it which is available.
The best thing about all NF scopes is they are bullet proof, dial perfect & are very reliable
More of an update.
I was getting some bits and pieces from Brownells and picked up a VG6 Precision Gamma Muzzle Break for my AR15.
