How it came from Colt, note the barrel is A2 too. Early 80's they did a lot of stuff like that.
If that bothers you, then how about this:

They were "transitional" model A2's. I love old school Colt shit. I have a spare A1 upper somewhere, torn between doing a transitional clone with it or an XM177 clone.
I was talking to someone that has looked at a few of them and made the changes to the heavy spring and the, essentially, gas block. So far, the ones in NZ that I have heard about have been running well but not without some modifications that have happened at the factory.
Only issue I think my boy will have is that the stock is too long and I will have to replace it. It is not light and it will help him to have a shorter stock for his size and bring the weight in a bit closer.
Once I put in the heavy spring he couldn't pull the bolt back. That was an issue as with the heavy spring I am told the recoil is better and it runs like clockwork. We will put 250+ through it tomorrow to test it out.
It turned out that he had the strength but the bolt was too hard on his dear little finger :) I went off to the lathe and made a nice big handle that he can pull back with three fingers, it doesnt hurt as the spring compresses so he is able to pull it all the way back now..
Right, off to see if I can find the adjustable a-cat stock I like in the next couple days..

Miamijbt you've got issues mate!
Space issues haha
Will the double post issue on this forum ever be sorted out?
:D
That is where you need a gun room at that stage. I bet your mates always want to see the one gun hidden on the back
Not hard at all for me to get what I have. I live in Florida. No license or permit to own. No restrictions. Can buy via private sale. As for price; some guns I paid less than $100 USD for. My Nazi Hi-Power was only $250 USD. I have my M1 Garands mailed right to my door.
Say hello to my L.W. Seecamp .32 Automatic. A tiny, hand crafted pocket pistol. In the late 1990s and early 2000s these little buggers were in such demand that you can easily wait over a year to get one ordered and you can easily see them going for over three times their MSRP.

Mine has a finger extension on the magazine. But they came with flush magazine floor plates from the factory. It is designed to work off Winchester .32 Silver Tip Hollow Point ammunition only. No FMJ; Speer 60gr Gold Dot JHP will also work in it today.
Got mine through luck back in the day. Another guy ordered it about a year before, it came into the shop and he couldn't buy it because between the time he ordered it and when it came in. Couldn't pass the background. So he got a refund and I bought the gun from the shop.
To give you an idea of how small it is.

Before guns like the NAA .32 Auto or the Kel-Tec P3AT or Ruger LCP. The Seecamp was the gold standard for deep cover conceal guns. They're still made to this day with amazing quality.
Fun fact, the founder of the business was former German Wehrmacht and served on the Eastern Front. He fell in loved with DA pistols during his time because it kept him alive. Prior to the pocket pistols, he modified 1911s to be DA pistols.
Take a picture of your Seecamp side on,to show how thin these are.
Really,really nice peice .
My Vz has a few more scratches now

Mauser doesn't disappoint , grip , trigger & accuracy are first class the decocker is really good to , only shot some plovers & targets with it at this stage but it shoots an inch at 200 , looking forward to testing it further with handloads .
