Do you have any history to go with that wonderful old double? Any tigers or elephants to its' name?
Holy shit, a true elephant gun Macca
Please post some video of it going BOOOOOM !
Not really but need to decipher all the writing on the case, the case shown is not the original, definitely ex India, will run the serial numbers past Joseph Lang when I get time, hope to load some ammo this week and clean the barrels with it next week end, 110 grains FFG, or some safe nitro load, have to work out a loading procedure.
Very nice Maca
Mac you never cease to amaze us. Old shitter for an old shit.
So it wasn't just a booze trip.
Maca if you dont have it "Shooting the British Double Rifle" by Graeme Wright 3rd Edition get it. It has regulation BP loads and nitro for black loads that will regulate in your double. I dicked around for years with my BP double rifle trying to regulate with BP. The powder available these days would not do it, used a Nitro for Black from his book and it was regulated in less than 20 rounds.PM me for more info.

After hearing very good things about DPT's suppressors, I asked Darren if he was able to make one in 14x1 left hand thread for my new NHM90 (chambered in 5.56). He'd never done one before, but bought the left hand tap so he could (top bloke). Got the call on Thursday saying it was ready, but I had a motorcycle race meet on so couldn't get these before the long weekend. Dropped in there today and got the suppressor fitted up. Very impressed with the result. Hopefully get to test it this weekend.
Now that he's got the L/hand tap, please let everyone you know that has a factory threaded AK47 or variant, that DPT is able to make a quality suppressor for their needs. Don't make mine the only one that he'll ever use the tap on.
Meet PINKBITS, or that's what it was called by a good mate when I showed him for the first time.
Zastava M70 300WinMag, with new Remington Varmint 1-12 twist Mcgowen s/s barrel. Finished at 25 1/4 inches, 20 mm at the muzzle, Boyds thumbhole varmint stock that is sposed to be red, but it seems to have faded to a nice shade of pink. Scope is a Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20x50 with side focus and target turrets.

Its main use will be just for fun, some long range goat and pig busting on the western plains, I might even get around to doing some Fly shooting one day.
So far I have only tried a couple of different projectiles 130gn Barnes TSX and Nosler 125gn BT, I still have to give her a good workout and find something that it really likes to shoot at a bit of range. Of course I got rid of the shitty targets and only kept the good ones, this is the best so far.
