It has a big enough bore. If the deer was within 50 feet it would either die of fright, get a bloody good headache, or die of lead poisoning.

Nice....EH6 or EH8 Ryan? I'm guessing EH8 looking at the pistol grip angle.
Nah I haven't weighed it separately but it's a heavy bugger. Rifle feels much lighter now. The action/barrels are pretty solid on the B14 so they're not a super lightweight but damn I'm impressed for the money the action is like a rem700 clone with the upgraded features that a custom defiance etc offer (sako extractor and bolt release, coned bolt head for easy and reliable feeding, better primary extraction, solid half cock, WAY smoother than a lemmington, bolt is nicer to grab and use) but at a fraction of the price. And it shoots good

My "Cheap build with a simple point and shoot scope" has gotten a little bit out of hand. Bergara B14 Extreme in a Manners EH8, Talleys and Swaro Z5, Javelin bipod. Shoots the good old blue box stuff into tiny little groups and just starting to load develop with 155 Amax

Marlin 336 Dark 30-30 lever action, repurposed VX-6 1-6 CDS, Leupold QD rings and repurposed Oceania Defence can and cyclone brake which is shared with my Tikka .308.
I'll be working up a load eventually using those Hornady Lever Evolution projectiles which let you use pointed bullets in tube magazines and get the CDS dial made up for the VX6 to match that load.

Well as some of you might have noticed I been upgrading a bit of gear and putting it all on a bit of a diet, Sako's turn for a birthday.
Can't wait to get out and shoot it next week :pacman:
Here’s my latest built for me by Terminator products.

Load development all done thanks again to Terminator products.
Need to find a decent scope.

Me.
Thanks @Kiwi Greg
I never thought I would have anything nice enough to add to this post, but i just recently bit the bullet and invested in a custom Ultra Lightweight rifle and I want to show it off haha.
Built on a Howa 1500 action in 7mm08, it has a pillar and glass bedded kevlar stock. Jewell trigger. The action has been lightened and skeletonized, the bolt fluted and skeletonized, Pac-Nor lightweight stainless steel National Match barrel, with a gunworks EBS supressor. The scope is a Zeiss Victory HT 2.5-10x50 BT all set to dial up to 400 yards. Its beautifully balanced, and a true delight to shoot. Now I also have some Leica Geovids I can make the most of whatever hunting situation i find myself in!

According to the website between 4 3/4 lbs and 5 3/4 lbs. Though the barrel was shortened and full barrel suppressor fitted in nz after it was imported, so that will change the weight. I don’t have scales to weigh unfortunately. I’m assuming that’s without scope attached
So finally after nearly 2 years I have my own rifle ready to go. I've borrowed rifles and been given an old model70. But this is something I've pieced together and brought/traded to build up over the past couple years. I'm sure guys with a young family know how hard that is as well. Nothing special at the end of the day, just a Tikka in latte 7-08 caliber. Mounted the scope in the weekend and sighted it in and it groups rem core lokts nicely at 100m. So for a bush pig I'm pretty happy with the set up. I know it shoots well so no excuses in the bush now, apart from not seeing any animals.
This photo was prior to the weekend. I've turned the rear ring and got my eye relief perfect. Would of liked a slightly lower ring.

Where did you buy the Huskemaw?
I got it from a friend and i think he got it from the states. For me as a new hunter not having looked through a lot of glass, lower end leupold's & vortex's mainly. This is really crisp and clear, I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes in lower light conditions under the canopy.
You done well to pick up on the brand of scope. i guess if you zoom in you can read it clearly on the side. :D
You've got a fair point there @dannyb next time i get it out of the safe I'll have to look if i can get any extra room from the action or bolt. It's no biggy the difference is mm from a soft touch of my cheek to pressing firmly on my cheek bone.
My new toy, bought it today then straight round to DPT for one of their mini centrefire suppressors.
I'll be mounting a Loopy 2-7x33 on it this afternoon.
I needed something suppressed for using over the dog, and wasn't going to chop my Model 94 Trapper!

What calibre?
This is the new mini over barrel modular for rifles like Bergara ,and howa 300 blackout on mini action , when not much of the barrel is sticking out of the fore end (95mm). They are rated for no bigger cartridge than 308.
308, 16.5 inch barrel. I have a Brno 308 with 24 inch barrel but I wasn't going to chop that either. COAL to lands is virtually identical for both rifles so that's a bonus, but cases fired in the Brno and neck sized won't fit in the Bergara so the FL die will get some use. I'll probably use different case brands for each rifle.
I got a Bergara as well to replace my 300BO AR hunting rifle that horseface confiscated
Check the bolts on the scope rail tho, mine came loose after 30 rounds today.
I like it so far though, farkall to it really so there cant be much that can go wrong with it.
Insanely light trigger, i need much more practice with it to bring those groups in tighter @ 100m
Its same as yours cept with a longer over barrel DPT suppressor and a nightforce 1- 4 of my dead 3 hundy BO
Be dealing death to goats or punching holes in paper 1 shot at a time, cause semis are too evil aye.........
Gona come up with a belt or stock pouch to hold the 308 rounds in a way that hopefully makes it easier/faster to load
I have done exactly that my friend
But unfortunately i dont think im gona be able to skive of to shoot it till next week
I have one the BA13's on order. What is the measurement of the MK2 overbarrel suppressor? Specifically how far back over the barrel does it go @Cigar?
@Sasquatch mine has the S/S modular Mk2 which goes roughly 120mm overbarrel, so i had to chop bout 20mm off the rifle handgaurd to get it on
