My new Troy PAR (pump action rifle) . Haven't fired it yet, and yes I'm aware of all the legal non sense.... So spare me. The build quality seems pretty damn good, a step above one that I handled some years ago. Put a VX3 on it for now. Will post a range report later for those interested.

1953 N04 MK2 unissued.
Fired 200 rounds. Barrel like new, shiny. Excellent condition overall I have the bayonet as well.

Picked this up yesterday arvo, handy as it works with speed loaders, not a bad trade up for some shitty old 22s thanks to Jacindahttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...5090a2a613.jpg

That 303 has to be good. That was the year of my birth. I dare say that the rifle has held up better than I have as tHelre is nothing shiny on me but then again I’ve done a bit more than 200 rounds.
This is going to be interesting.

Welcome to the club , here’s my latest in my short but expensive Archery career and yes the bloody cat would have been its first kill if the wife wasn’t home .

Started off on the 338 trip with a little caution, went cheaper with a rem 700 . Its a keeper it so spent some cindy bucks on a defiance and Hawkins upgrade.

Gave the Bergara s birthday with some better optics, picked up a monarch 3 2.5-10×42 BDC from here, suits the rifle perfectly.

Well after a few delays finally got the WSM back, it's now done to my satisfaction.
Just had the bolt fluted by gunworks also had a cup bedded into the fore to accept the javelin spartan bipod I picked up.
Previous work:
Standard sako A7 action
Finnlight barrel
Stug stock
Graystone titanium muzzle brake
Lightened factory trigger
This thing is shooting bug hole groups a 100 yards, it is as close to a carbonlight as I will own. It's a keeper and will be on the hill as often as family life allows.
Again big thanks to @Ryan_Songhurst @stug @matagourie and Gunworks for making this possible

There you go @Tahr now you know :D
Yup 145eldx, I'll be honest the gunworks brake was better at recoil reduction but the finnlight barrel was a different thread so I was looking at having to buy another one as it couldn't be re threaded without taking an inch off the barrel and @matagouri came to my rescue with the graystone brake.
The graystone one is still very effective and being titanium it's lighter too, it's a pussy cat to shoot so long as your wearing hearing protection.
Nice break. I got a titanium radial brake with a rifle I bought not long ago. No idea who made it but was going to throw it in the parts bin and just use it bare or with a supp.
Has to be one of the better ones I have used. Not too obnoxious and can keep the crosshair on target at all ranges if everything is setup right.

Have been away for a while. Finally got to have first rounds with the "HK" 416 22. Given that it's not actually manufactured by HK, I'd personally not consider it as such. Out the box it feels very light compared to the real deal, which it would obviously. Barrel is a pencil type contained within a sleeve, another factor that contributes to its light weight but in the greater scheme of things, it's only going to be slinging .22LR so functionally speaking, an AR standard thickness barrel is superfluous in my opinion.
+:
* Cost
* Build quality
* ~250rds of CCI standard velocity sent downrange with zero malfunctions of any sort
* Accurate
* 1/2x28 thread
-:
* Standard trigger is, to quote a friend, "AIDS" - unnecessarily heavy and a lot of creep
* Paddle bolt-release is notional only
* Dust cover is a completely different colour to the rest of the rifle for reasons unknown
Recommend? Yes.
Does it lock open on empty Ryan?
(Answering for Ryan) Yes @Rushy, I have the Colt version.
I'v had my *Colt* (which is essentially the same gun as yours) for about 2 years. Shot around 1300 rounds of CCI standard and CCI Mini Mags with ZERO malfunctions which is saying something. Considering semi-auto .22's can be a bit finicky with ammo and having the odd jam, I have been highly impressed with this rifle.
Shits all over my enhanced Ruger 10/22 I used to own. Mine is very accurate too. Gotta love German quality.
Are there plans afoot to run 3 gun type shoots with these 22s?

Looks good, looks functional, I like! What's it worth? ball park is fine I'm not in the market, my 512 does all I want/need.
I waited a looong time for this. Finally arrived.
