What's the third position marking on the safety?
That would signify the auto position if someone wanted to convert it. In the US it could be used with a registered drop in auto sear, though there are so few most would never see one of those. So really it's just cosmetic.
Yeah I figured, it's just not normally marked
Here's a quick pic of my Badger M2008 rifle in 300WM , & Premier 3-15x50 scope .

That's pretty sweet Chris. I'd love a Badger 338 Norma rig one day.
Hey all, nothing too flash, my latest toy, a Saiga 415mm in .223, its got a BP02 Balarus scope mount, and a cheapish Millet 1-4x24 "DMS" scope, a recoil buffer, and a "tactical" brass catcher that seems to be more hassle than help The brass catcher tends to cause the shells to not eject properly and cause a jam, so I am planning on modifying it to work better. With it off it shoots flawlessly. Got it out on the weekend just gone to get it sighted in, and it seems to shoot ok, was able to repeatedly hit gongs at 100m with the Hornady training SP ammo. Next on the modification list is to get it suppressed, add a stock pack to increase the stock height for the scope, and lower rings (on order). The rings on it are $10 jobbies from deal extreme, but they are WAY too high.

Way too high. really?:D
RE: Badger M2008 , its OK , BUT as we in NZ have to deal with the new high price of US Export permitting & increased level in airfreight charges from the US , I can honestly say , you will be close to the same price as a REAL AI rifle , and as such , at the same price level , the Badger is NOT as good as the real deal .
I say this NOT to put your OFF the Badger , but to give the best advice I can in hind sight .
Given what I have just said , why did I DO it , will I brought them just before the US GovT , changed all the rules , and I got caught out with the change due to delays in trying to export them .
So in short , just order the AI rifle you want from the UK , Sporting Services .
RE; the Norma , I am more interested in the longer 338LM , over the shorter Norma , I need all the powder room , I can get to push the heavy 300gr pills .
The barrel on my M2008 is a Bartlien 1-10 twist , 5R , with a AI AWM barrel contour .
I also own a few AI rifles , as well as these Badgers , so feel I can give advice on both .
Brake is a Badger FTE , similar to the AI design .
I am running 208gr Amaxs at 2880 fps , and they are accurate at that speed .
Yours Chris
Here's a quick pic of my AW w/ S&B scope ,

Much skinnier than I imagined you, and a lot more hair too :P
Here's my rifle. The rings and scope aren't mine though, my rings can be found on Gimp's AR-15 a page back, I think.

Hey here's a new project we have been working on...... Its a humble 223 Rem 700, the guy we made a heap of these for came to NZ to visit, I took him to the range with a variety of toys, but he stuck with this one. Even with the slightly knackered 3-9x40 Bushnell, he managed some trick one shot kills on Clays out to 400 yards (with Hornady Steel cased 55's) Attachment 1479Attachment 1480
While I'm messing about on the puter..... here's an unfinished project I've been playing around with..... I hate coming over that hill top and finding more goats in a mob than I have rounds in my mag....... so I decided to even up the odds a bit.....hehehe (I think I may have been influenced by Tim the Toolman Taylor)...Attachment 1481Attachment 1482
Christ you must have large mobs of goats Grant. Kinda looks like time the Toolman had a hand in the finish on that bottom metal too:P
Hey Wildman...... dont be so judgemental......hehehe ....I did say "unfinished project" You know the old addage about tradesmen working on their own stuff..... builders finish their own houses the day they sell them..... mechanics cars always have niggles that need finishing......hehehe
Functional Im sure but....... good to know youve had a hand in some reasonably atractive rifles as we

Yeah I understand. Does look functional as Sneeze says. Unsure if it will catch on though:)
Nice checkering on that BSA Sneeze.
Cheers, was just going to be a standard pattern but the blank turned out to be a bit plain so Kevin sugested lifting it a bit with the checkering.I left it up to him, pretty happy with the result.
yeah it scrubbed up ok,its putting the holes in the right places as well:thumbsup:
