Yeah all numbers matching. Paid 1200, probably around about right these days. It’s won a few of the Service Rifle shoots over the years apparently. I was going to take it to the range tomorrow but….
I will get into reloading for it eventually but for now I’m going to practice my shooting skills with factory stuff.
A cousin of mine used to name all his horses after his ex-girlfriends, thinking something like that may be appropriate here lol
Bergara extreme hunter 6.5PRC, Hardy stealth suppressor, topped with a Minox Z5 3-15x56 Attachment 176554
24 inch barrel and 6.6lbs. I wouldnt recommend buying a 6.5PRC in the middle of an ammo shortage. It took a fair bit of ringing around to pull all of the reloading components together. Managed to run it in before lockdown. It shot well, sub 1MOA groups without any tinkering.
Grant, you might need to find two stock packs to get you aligned through that scope or lower mounts?
yeah, i've got 6.5 and a .308 still trying to figure out why the hype made me buy a 6.5 . .308 is better, unless you are a girly boy how can't stand recoil.
Yep. Sure do. I was just reusing the rings and bases I had on hand. Haven't got a riser yet. Any you recommend?
@nowool haha yep I held on to my trusty 308 as well. That's what the scope came off. I'm putting a Zeiss terra 3x 4-12 back on the 308. Excited to shoot some more 6.5 needles though
Grantn, if your going to use a 56 mm obj, first I’d try to get mounts that put the scope bell as low as possible. Right on the barrel without touching it. The twin needle stock pack looks pretty good but a piece of closed cell foam and duct tape work well also and is cost effective!
Just waiting on the darkness… Thanks @Sarvo

This is my new toy. Tikka t3x in 270, SHV 5-20x56 on top with a DPT can. Not as expensive or fancy as some of the other cool rigs on this forum, but I saved up for it and I'm pretty proud. Now all I have to do is find somewhere in Canterbury to sight it in.
^ Nice man
This project is always changing but am pretty stoked about the current set up.

Picked up a bare howa alpine minus the bolt off here a couple weeks ago it was already chopped to 18" and threaded, through the magic of this place I have managed to sort a bolt, zeiss terra 2-7x32 and a set of talleys ex low rings.
She's come together nicely now just need the weather to calm the fuck down so I can get it shooting.
Whole package weighs in at 3.5kgs scoped and suppressed which is not bad when you consider most other rifles in the same dress in that weight bracket would cost 3x what this owes me just for the bare rifle.
Can't wait to take a beast with it....but it may have too :oh noes:

I’m going to try to get it down to the same weight as my Tikka .308, 2854 grams, or there about.
A bit of fluting would see the weight off like a fat boy on a diet.
New project....first time finish on a new homemade F Class stock.....a few more coats to go, but looking promising

T3x Hunter (in 243) with a Leica ER5 3-15x56 on top and a DPT can hanging off the end, and a limbsaver I had lying around.
Something a bit different.
Glock 17 gen 5 MOS. Sheild sms sight. Glock gen 5 trigger tune kit from delta Mike.
Due to circumstances shooting 40cal is going to be more expensive than I'd like so time to jump over to 9mm.
I've never been able to get my head around hammer guns for production or production optics so striker was the go.
Loving this little honey. It's a glock it just works and the gen 5 are really nice.Attachment 180529

My Wife suggests fairly regularly that it's about time I got a new "toy". Unfortunately that is usually followed by "but we need new bathroom/flooring/when are you doing the lawns,?
Waldo Peens has the right idea
Had a mate mate in America pass recently & leave me a few of his guns & gear .This is the rifle he had set up for Arctic hunts & conditions with the action being treated with the Cerakote micro slick treatment to counter icing up .
He took Polar & Grizzly bear with it & he used it on a couple of Moose,Caribou & Elk hunts, shot count is 235 according to his meticulous (Ex Military) records that came with it, the rifles proven loads for the - Swift 150grn Scirocco at 3480fps shoots into 20mm, - Swift 180gr Scirocco at 3290fps shoots into 14mm , the 180gr Speer BTSP at 3350fps shoots into 22mm & the 200gr Accubond & 200gr Woodleigh at 3180fps shoots 22-24mm & the 240gr Woodleigh at 2835ps does just over MOA.

Time to let the cat out of the bag......meeeoooow :D
As a few of you know I have been accumulating bits and bobs for a new project.
I wanted something versatile that could shoot a wide selection of pills for a wide variety of purposes.
Also those that know me, know I'm a little longer than the average fella. I was intrigued by this new offering from benelli the "LUPO" a chassis style rifle without the ugly chassis and pistol grip that digs into your spine.
The Lupo comes with an array of shims that allow for adjustable L.O.P cast, drop and grip to trigger length.
They also have interchangeable cushioned comb that comes in different heights.
I there is alot of other interesting features but I'll do a bit of a write up when I start load development.
The action is incredibly slick, I did a lot of homework before buying this rifle and I don't think I'll regret it. My Lupo is chambered in 30-06 Springfield.

Congrats @dannyb ! Looks like a great rifle, and great all-round caliber too! May it bring you great success!
Maybe when you take it out for it's first deer, you can drag me and my .375 along ;)
Picked up this week beauty today from @Skipton butch 's lovely wife who gave Bo a present too so he's very happy pup :) thanks mate, very happy, I'm sure we will make many memories in the hills together. I had big plans for tarting it up again etc but it tells a story when you pick it up. Very impressed with how these things come up and how light and well balanced they are for a 60+ year old rifle. We decided it wasn't a majestic as it has the full length Mauser extractor, scalloped lightweight action etc. Just did a serial # check and it's a 1956 lightweight Royal Viscount, would have been a originally a 243 and has been rebarelled with a Douglas premium still in 243. Judging by the wear on the chequering and carry points I'd say she did some miles!

Will look sweet with a B.Nickel Supra 4x scope on aye ;) Just need some Parker Hale RALS 4 scope mounts to complete the picture.
