Attaché barrel?
Very cool regardless.
I believe it is .
The previous owner didn't give me much info , but he did say the barrel was worth a lot more than a standard one .
I'm looking at adding another barrel ( probably 308 ) which I will shorten down to 18 -19 inch's and use with open sights for close range pig shooting .
That and a 223 will cover all the rifle shooting I will ever do .

That's a pretty tricked up rifle for a first firearm:thumbup:

I always wanted a 50 & have been getting brass etc together for quite a while now.
She finally showed up on Thursday, my Barrett M107A1
I got her assembled & got chamber lengths for various projectiles, & sorted starting loads.

She has shot some pretty good groups so far & some not so good ones....
She has expensive tastes & really doesn't like the cheap ADI FMJs, bloody typical....

The trigger is fairly "interesting" & moves at least 12-13mm before anything exciting starts to happen, hopefully that can be sorted as it makes her very hard to shoot accurately.
I have fired 115 rounds through her so far, recoil isn't too bad, more of a massive push & concussion is non-existent
I built a dummy mag so I could single feed her.

I tried a pistol grip off one of my XLR chassis to try to help with trigger control, but I will probably put the factory one back on.

All in all I'm very happy with her & it looks like she wants to shoot so I just have to get that sorted, good times :)
That is fucking awesome.
Awesome. How'd you get your hands on that? I haven't seen any for sale in nz.
A or E?
Nothing's safe on the Southern Alps now!
Is that a mince rifle Kiwi Greg? Something that big would mince anything in NZ unless you rifle fullas know about the moa but frm reading here you guys love the moa.:D
The whole "military pattern" grip thing is a bit weird. That's an A2 grip but it's coloured tan. Is it not "military pattern" because the military didn't issue them in that colour?
Cool gat though.
Dare I ask how much? I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little jelly
Congratulations on being able to fulfill your boyhood dreams KG!!
That thing is rad! Might not be as good as some of your other rifles on paper but I bet it puts a bigger smile on your face each time you squeeze the trigger.
I dislike you KG.
If you kill something with it...please post up a pic.
kj
Please shoot a rabbit with it.
Hopefully that 50 has a nice personality cause its fuglyyyyyy

Yo-ho mateys, my new pirate gun… garrr..
Just procured this little beauty from another member here for a very reasonable price. Needs a bit of TLC and a main spring so a fun project.

I know minimal about flintlocks so have lots of research to do.
Do you need a pistol endorsment for that?
Yuup, unfortunately.
Now that is cool:thumbup:
Im gonna have lots of that sort of thing after sat when i win lotto and will have the money and time to meet my range requirements for a pistol licence.
Power of positive thinking?
