Here is my new lightweight go to rig, with its second blood. It is a Model 700 Mountain Rifle in .270, i sent it down to STUG and got a new stock then went and bought some Talleys and a VX3 3.5-10x40 CDS. Its awesome to carry and weighs in at 6.4lbs total weight.

I just got in a 1710 Heavy barrel in , and heres a pic of it , jsut had to shoot it , so at the moment its got a crap 4x32mm scope on it , just ordered some 30mm rings so I can drop a better scope on it .

That is also a nice piece of woodwork.
Hi Chris,
Just got it off trademe this week. Same action as yours, 1710 DKL. The Kahles is a bit overkill but what the hell.;)
Very nice Annie , I think they make 3 models , a heavy barrel varmint , & 2 sporters , one with irons and one with out .
The barrels are pressed in at about 20 Tons I think , then the barrel is drilled & 2 pins put in vertically to ensure it stays put , you will see the pins under your front ring .
I am looking at dropping a old MK4 16x on mine , to see what she will do at longer range etc .
For me the top 22 rimfire rifles are anything will a Annie 54 action , or any Sako using the P94S Finnfire action .
I have used both .
Cheers Chris

New Rock River Arms Lar-8 Elite Operator ready for a hunt next week :)
Nate, is that the one that take FN FAL / SLR L1A1 mags ?
Takes both metric and inch mags. Good fun and very accurate straight out of the box. Weight and the fact it isnt modular with its dpms style cousins is its biggest let down. Did i mention weight?
that RRA handguard weighs about 9 kilograms alone

 That is what I call gun porn!!!! Where did you source the scope and mounts if you dont mind me asking?
Wow that is stunning.
Now you got me thinking of LBFM's:)
The scope was purchased at Ted Rogers annual militaria auction in WGTN earlier this year. They rarely come up, however Leatherwood are making a repro as you can't buy new Unertl's anymore. Buffalo arms have the scope mounting blocks and the scopes usually come with the rings.
It's generally accepted that as well as Unertl's, that Fecker's and Lyman Targetspot scopes are correct for this type of build as well.
I'm looking forward to shooting some groups to see how she'll do. It should go under an inch if the iron sight groups were anything to go on.
K ,
If you really want a Finnfire , PM or email me

Gimp, initially I though you had mounted a mortar launching front blade on that, on closer inspection it looks like a rock in exactly the right place :D
