What a mean looking beast.
I like A308 .:) Cool Gun
My Dad has just bought a Schultz & Larson M65DL in 6.5x55 Swedish second hand, it is in very very nice condition. He tells me it is quite a rare rifle but im not sure if he is just having me on as i have never heard of Schultz & Larson before, just wondering if any one knows anything about these rifles, and what there worth. (i would have added a picture but its at shop getting scope fitted).
Cheers Josh
I saw one on trademe ages ago drop from around 2grand to about 1300 iirc. If I had the money I would have got it. Bloody nice looking rifle
Yeah i must admit i thought dad was just talking it up but when he put the bolt in and operated i must say it is the nicest action i have ever felt. Cheers Toby.
Make sure you show some pics :)
Rear locking. Smooth as silk. 24” barrel. Quite a few were imported in 7x61 S&H calibre during the 1960’s. Less in 6.5x55.
The Schultz & Larsen company disappeared in NZ during the 70’s or a bit later, and then reappeared in about 2000 under the same name but a new company and a front locking action quite different to the ML65. I have one, and the quality is right up there with the old originals.
Dead Eye Dicks had a ML65 last time I was there. They trade for about $1,200 - 1,500.
Gunworks are selling a 7x61 Schultz and Larsen only after $1200 ish from memory
There is one on TM in 6.5-284 asking over $3k, but its been there an awfully long time without selling.
Schultz and Larsen make good barrels pretty sure they are cut rifled
Here’s my S&L 6.5x55. Had it about 12 years. It shoots just about any bullet and any load very well. That says a lot for the Danish workmanship.

Did you lengthen the butt stock?ill find out in a few weeks wont I.
Nah, I always tape the bottom up. When you use them as a walking stick thats where they get all the dings. Here’s my Browning .243.

A new centre fire for some fun, nothing to fancy, but wanted a 308 so ended up with a Remington 700 SPS Tactical with 20" barrel.
Scope is a Bushnell 5-15x40 Tactical, base & rails are Weaver tactical. The base is not the 20moa one as not currently shooting that far to need it...
I fired 18 rounds through it last weekend and its great! Scope zeroed at 100m, took four 3 rnd groups, first three at 25m, last at 100m.
AR is in the picture as it was on the floor at the time for cleaning...

How do you like the Spearmags grunzter?
Hi Rushy,
I like the spearmags stock, its not perfect but seems tough and looks good, and for me feels ok.
Only things i noticed when i swapped over from my Magpul stock/grip was that the Grip was thin, probably more of a problem if you have big hands.
The other very minor point is that the tube part that covers the buffer tube is not as thick as a typical AR stock, and means your cheek sits a bit lower than you are used to...
I read elsewhere the Servo stock is also nice.
Grant
Thanks Grant.

I picked up my new 10/22 takedown from gunworks today after getting it suppressed, plus sorted out the mountings. Great little gun all round

I'm sure you will love the takedown, awesome addition to the ruger line up.
New Tahr and Tops Rig,
Pestered Terminator to get this finished so to take south but missed the boat, now busy as hell with work and have only had time to give it one short outing but loved every abusive minute of it. Now some serious range time to get used to it!!!
Decided credits due so thought id give him a plug
I must say workmanship time frame attention to detail and all round service was brilliant. Even came with load data!!!
project - .338 capable of firing 300 grn projectiles 750 seated for optimal performance, floor plate/blind mag as a simple hunting rifle. durable and carry-able (no dangley bits)
.338 Norma MAG
TF UM 26"
Terminator T3 brake which absolutely rocks - needed to be as this rifle does bark
ADL Hunters Edge CF
PTG Bolt
Remmington action/trigger assembly
nightforce rings and M4 8.5-25x50
Ideally wanted to review after shoot but now will have to wait a month or so as im away again, but Tahr on the cards June.

I've been tempted by one of those for a long time..
What is that chambered in?
6.5 Creedmoor
And to the uneducated like myself what is it? (other than a rifle, not that stupid, close though).
5.5lb of Savage Lightweight Hunter
Lovely little rifles..
